This Riesling by Lethbridge is Germanic in style, with fruit sourced from vines planted in 1982 at Barretts Vineyards near Drumborg. It is made using traditional German wine-making techniques, the hand-picked grapes were whole bunch pressed into tank for fermentation by wild yeast on partial solids. Fresh grapefruit acidity, underlying grapefruit, a dash of sherbet, some early bottle maturation honey and just a hint of ripe mango/peach fruit, all topped off with some yeast funk.

From a single block on our family owned vineyard based in the cool Great Southern, our flagship Ferngrove Cossack Riesling exudes fresh cut lime, pink grapefruit and zesty lemon with a long lasting minerality. Native to Australia's South West, the Cossack Spider-orchid is the common name for the endangered flora adorning the label.

The 2017 Chardonnay fruit was handpicked in pristine condition. Lifted bouquet of nectarines and stone fruits with an underlay of toasty spice. Barrel ferment characters add complexity while flavours of citrus and cashew swirl around the palate to give a long flavoursome finish.

A lovely, fruity dry wine with the distinctive flavours of ripe pear and green plums. Has a luscious palate weight typical of the variety, with a hint of drying astringency contributing to its clean dry finish. A great food wine, enjoy while fresh and vibrant.

Fragrant citrus blossom, with peach skin, pear, nougat and nutmeal give a complex and seductive entry. The palates fine citrus and stone fruits are deftly embellished with a cashew nut creaminess and a mineral savoury note, to add texture and drive. Fine grain French oak offers subtle support and the bright acidity, a fresh finish.

Vibrant flavours of citrus and honeysuckle on the palate leading to a crisp zesty finish. The mouthfeel is balanced between mineral acidity and its fine texture.

This brilliant SSB shows a pale straw colour. The nose shows gooseberry and passion fruit fragrances, with hints of tropical fruit and grassy citrus. The palate is an amalgam of passion fruit, pineapple and citrus. The climax is crisp and lively.

The fruit was handpicked, chilled and whole bunch pressed to allow gentle extraction. The juice was transferred directly into French oak barrels and fermented with a mix of natural (wild) yeast and selected yeast strains to provide complexity. No MLF to retain natural acidity and freshness. Post-fermentation the lees were stirred gently once a week until the balance between oak, lees characters and fruit characters was achieved. The origin of Rockcliffe was an 18 acre expanse of apple orchards planted early in the 1900s in the rich Scotsdale Valley region of Denmark in the Great Southern, Western Australia. In the late 1980s, a local family acquired the property for its fertile soils and position for long afternoon sunshine with cool ocean breezes. It was christened Matildas Meadow and the planting of dry grown vines commenced. The Pinot and Chardonnay vines were the first planted in the district in 1987. Our brands reflect our love of the Ocean and how important it is to the vineyard.
