Kellermeister Alicante Bouchet is an exotic and unique red-fleshed grape variety which produces a bright refreshing wine bursting with flavours of ripe fresh berries balanced with a hint of sweet spice. Mrs Wigley was not the wife of Wirra Wirra founder, Robert Strangways Wigley, but in fact a neighbouring cat that took up residence in the winery open top fermenters. The rosé show aromas of fresh strawberry and cherry and a crisp palate of light spice and a lingering dry finish.

The style is bone dry but full of texture, red cherry sweet herbs and orange blossum. The 2018 is made from Carignan, Shiraz and a little Sangiovese . These were all picked for Rose in late February.The fruit was handpicked and pressed off into seasoned barrels and one stainless tank. The stainless tank was fermented cool on light lees- the barrel component was ambient, wild and on full solids. After a months the two parcels were blended and retuned to barrels prior to bottling. Pale watermelon pink in colour with lifted floral aromas highlighted by fresh strawberries. The palate is bursting with bright red berries, guava and morello cherries with a hint of cardamom spice. This dry rosé has amazing fruit qualities showing lovely natural fruit sweetness while being sugar dry. (less than 2 grams per litre). It has a fresh, bright, refreshing finish and is best enjoyed chilled.

Naturally fermented from Australian honey, Daringa Mead possesses an intense aroma of honeycomb and wax, like birthday candles. The palate is unctuous and flavour-rich. This is a big, sticky, spicy old-school mead.
