Winemaker Paul Gordon is making good use of the beautifully sited mature Hamilton vineyards to produce superb McLaren Vale reds such as this ripe robust deeply flavoured Cabernet.

Coffee-mocha and dark berry nose, good gentle tannins frame flavoursome generous fruit flavours. An excellent wine at this price.

The wine is gorgeously fruited and fragrant on the nose showing dark fruit richness with smoked game, vanilla, chocolate tart and cedar characters. The palate is concentrated and wonderfully weighted, delivering fabulous fruit intensity and stylish oak infusion, backed by fine chalky tannins, finishing superbly long and sturdy. This class cabernet has deep red colour with purple hues indicating the freshness and quality to come. Aromas of leafy mint with complex capsicum and cedar with ripe berry notes adding complexity with firm tannins and well balanced acid leading to a long finish.

Price’s No.8 is a medium-bodied style, bringing together the classic combination of Shiraz and Cabernet. This delicious drop is a skilful blend of barrels of aged Cabernet with newer Shiraz to create a journey of seasons. The No.8 is sweetly fruited and beautifully lifted, the bouquet shows dark plum, blackcurrant, warm spice and toasted nut characters. The palate is equally attractive with succulent fruit intensity, well supported by plump mouthfeel and fine tannins leading to a lingering silky finish. Colour: Deep and dark crimson with a slight clear edge. Nose: A mix of blueberry and blackberry fruits. Plums and raisins with some cool earthy aromas fill the nose along with subtle oak. Palate: Super smooth on the front with fine tannins and medium to full length. Well-balanced, savoury mid pallet, with seasoned oak influences delivering a silky finish.

Price’s Block 5 is produced from the oldest and most consistent vines at our McLaren Vale vineyard. Attractively fruited and immediately appealing, the fragrant bouquet shows blackcurrant, spiced cherry, floral, thyme and toasted nut aromas, followed by a succulent palate that is supple and lingering. The wine offers lovely fruit purity backed by fine texture and polished tannins, leading to a lengthy juicy finish. Drink now or hold on to for many years to come.

This Cabernet Sauvignon delivers a fruit-driven wine with fragrant notes of cherry and plum. Varietal characters of liquorice, oak and pepper spice complete the palate for a rich-tasting finish.
