During the 1920's, Clydesdale horses were used to distribute water from the main canal to the surrounding landscape of the Riverina. Stables were placed on the corner of Apostles and Moon Roads and at night the Apostles birds would roost in the stables, sharing the horses' food and bed for the evening. Today the Apostles Wines Estate is nestled here and the canal is still the region's lifeline. Our wonderful Durif grapes thrive here, surrounded by native Saltbush. Since the first release in 2002, Fraser Gallop Estate have gone from strength to strength, picking up a Jimmy Watson Medal along the way.
