Château Filhot is set amongst the woods and fields of Sauternes and is one of the most beautiful estates in the region. No oak is used in the production of Filhot, only glass-fibre vats that contribute to the elegant structure of the wines, rarely becoming the uncious and full bodied wines that generally have a higher proportion of Semillon. The Filhot from the 2009 vintage is dominated by a subtle nutty note, most prominantly almond. While honey, apricot and peach play their role, it is the almond nose and palate that set this wine apart and is a major part of its exotic appeal.<b>Please note: 750mL bottle</b>

A very famous old property within the region of Sauternes that has been rejuvenated over the past 20 years with the introduction of the Narby family from Canada. The rich and voluptuous wines are now matured in 60% new oak and the results are for all to see with wines of great complexity, harmony and elegance.

Heggies Botrytis Riesling is sourced from high quality Riesling vineyards high up in the Eden Valley. Slightly wet and humid conditions in 2011 allowed for the onset of Botrytis in the vineyard and an intensity of flavour that continues right through the palate.

Château Reissec is a classic Château that sits high on one of the most elevated sites in Sauternes. The classic Château have produced wines of extreme elegance that are highly regarded of the best of the region. Less unctuous as others, Rieussec have outstanding bouquet, defined individuality and breathtaking concentration of flavour.

An ancient winery within the legendary region of Sauternes in Bordeaux's south, Château de Fargues uses minimal intervention to produce their wine of great concentration. The '75 showcases its evolved characteristics, displaying a bouquet of apricots, honeycomb, coconuts and lemon zest lead to a flavour focused palate and lingering finish.

The Vasse Felix Cane Cut has complex aromas of lemon meringue and ginger nut, with hints of vanilla spice. A lovely viscous, silky mouthfeel provides richness and texture.

Château Climens dessert whites are known for elegance, purity and freshness. The stellar 1986 vintage has lead to a remarkably rich and defined wine, one that showcases why Climens is regarded by many as the regions best wine after Yquem. Although it is slightly unfair to compare them due to their inherent differences in style and approach.

Château Guiraud is a large Sauternes property that is the only 1er Cru Classé, with the exception of its illustrious neighbour Château d`Yquem, that is located within the commune of Sauternes itself. Guiraud's 85 hectares of vineyards are located on one of the hills above the village of Sauternes. They are planted with 65% Sémillon and 35% Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes are harvested in "tries" and the juice is then fermented in oak barrels. The wine is then aged in oak casks (50% new) for 2 years. Guiraud is a very ambitious property with aspirations to produce a wine that will one day rival d`Yquem. The wines are astonishingly rich, especially in light of the high proportion of Sauvignon Blanc in the blend, and are undoubtedly amongst the finest wines being produced in Sauternes today.
