This rare version of Yoichi single malt is part of the "Nikka Discovery" series: an inside look at the various experiments made during the whisky-making process at Nikka. Focusing on the distinctive aromas generated by yeast selected from Nikka's vast "culture collection", this expression is partly made from a batch which has an estery aroma somewhat reminiscent of "ginjyo sake". Classic Speyside Distillery, Balvenie have blended some of their rarest reserve whiskies and aged them for 21 long years. In the final few months of the ageing process, the whisky is transferred to port casks, or pipes, to impart a luscious, creamy and silken character. The whisky is tasted regularly by the Balvenie Malt Master to impart just the perfect amount of flavour to further enhance those honey and spice notes that give way to a long, gentle and nutty finish.

A blend of Tesserons sublime stocks of Grande Champagne Cognac distilled in the 1950s. Incredibly complex, powerful, round and long and includes some Colobard adding both richness and texture. Layer after layer of rich intensity with nuts, mixed peel, raisins, dark chocolate, charcoal and wild honey notes. For all of its mouth coating richness and intensity, there is a pillowy texture and perfect spirit integration.

Amber color, intense. Nose of Armagnac of great terroir, with aromas of chocolate, coffee, leather, honey, licorice. Extraordinary complexity, intensity and finesse. In the mouth, the tannins are present, dense. We feel again these flavors of roasting, leather and rancio. Beautiful length.

St Lucia Distillers 1931 Limited Edition First Release... The brand celebrates the inauguration of a new distillery in February 1931 in the Mabouya Valley, near Dennery, in St. Lucia. Matured in 9 different Oak Casks, Deep mahogany core with vibrant amber tones. Full nose of sweet honeyed fruit with hints of chocolate and tobacco. On the palate dry at first then opens up to display great depth and complexity.Balanced and an incredibly long finish, 1931 is the pinnacle of fine rum making.

One of the harderst bottlings of the Chairman's 1931 Series to obtain as they've become almost depleted. We hope you can enjoy them while they are still around. Chairmans Reserve 1931 2nd Edition Rum uses casks put down in 2004, 2005 and 2006. These include casks containing 100% Coffey Still distillates matured in a combination of American white oak casks and port casks. In addition, we selected casks with 100% Pot Still and 50/50 blends of Pot/Coffey Still aged in American white oak. The blend was assembled and then placed back into American white oak casks for a period of three months for a final marriage before being bottled.

A marriage of rare Balvenie transferred to port casks which have held fine port wines. The end result is a refined malt with remarkable character. It is creamy and silky with fruit, honey and spice notes supported by a long and gentle, nutty finish. This whisky was named Supreme Champion Spirit at the IWSC 2011 awards.
