The bouquet and palate show an intense mixture of ripe berry fruits combined with vanilla and spice overtones whilst fine grained, integrated tannins add further complexity. The prestigious USA Wine & Spirit magazine selected our 1860 vines plantings as one of the 25 great vineyards of the world further reinforcing the priceless inheritance of these unique releases.

The vineyard "Colonnello" is about 40-45 years old and, to maintain it, its vines are replanted from time to time. The main variety of Nebbiolo is Michet and its rootstock is 420 A, Located in Monforte d'Alba, Poderi Aldo Conterno is considered one of the finest producers in the region. The son of legendary producer Giacomo Conterno, Aldo formed his own estate in 1969 and was inspired by the modernist techniques of Angelo Gaja. Aldo sadly passed away in May 2012 and the estate is now run by his three sons, Franco, Stefano and Giacomo. They tend 25 hectares of vines including three cru vineyards on the famed Bussia slope in Monforte d'Alba. These three vineyard sites, Cicala, Colonello and Romirasco are the flagship wines from the estate though the entire range from the entry level Bussia Soprana is superb.

The Sorelle De Nicola Feyles Barbaresco Riserva Feyles DOCG 2009 Magnum 1500ml is a stunning red wine from the prestigious region of Piedmont, Italy. This vintage, produced in 2009, showcases the exceptional winemaking skills of the Feyles Sorelle de Nicola family. Upon pouring, the wine reveals a deep ruby red colour, with hints of garnet at the edges. On the nose, intense aromas of ripe cherry, dried herbs, and a touch of smoky oak entice the senses. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with velvety tannins and a beautiful balance of dark fruit, earthy notes, and a touch of spice. The finish is long and elegant, leaving a lingering impression of dark chocolate and tobacco. This Barbaresco Riserva Feyles is a true masterpiece, worthy of aging and savoring for years to come.
