Elegant and harmonious, this wine is a very singular expression of the calcareous terroir of north-western Minervois. The calcareous soils characterize the wines with blackcurrant aromas combined with redcurrants, vanilla, and chocolate leading into a silky smooth palate, with the hedonism of dark chocolate held in check by an undertow of fresh minerality. The finish is long and complex.

The southern Rhône’s cru villages deliver remarkable richness as well as value – all nine of them well worth discovering. One of the best is Vacqueyras, the village watched over by the towering Dentelles de Montmirail (google and you'll find some impressive images of these iconic rugged landmarks) . Cuvée Préstigieux is from the Guillot family. In 1911, great grandfather of the current owner forsook his birthplace of Burgundy and headed south to the Rhône valley. There he bought his first vineyard. Today, Laurent Guillot is in charge, working the family plots both in Burgundy and the southern Rhône. This Cuvée Préstigieux is a full-bodied style with ripe raspberry fruit from the Grenache, while the Syrah brings herbal aromas and blackberry and a touch of Mourvèdre adds spice. Ace with roast lamb or a rich casserole.

Coming from 2 sites, one planted between 1860-1880 and a single vineyard approximately 85 years old both of which are dry grown and own-rooted in the deep sand of the Vine Vale. This wine is highly aromatic with a core of spicy cranberry and pomegranate, orange zest and dark earthy notes finishing on wonderful velvety tannins.

The inspiration from the Barossas best old vine Grenache vineyards created Annexus, an addition to the John Duval's Plexus blend. Annexus is a small unique blend selected from their best old low yielding Grenache vineyards, made only in the best years.

Les Trois Clefs (The Three Keys) is the emblem of the historic city of Avignon, capital of the Cotes du Rhone wine region. Chateauneuf du Pape is a superior Grenache Syrah that delivers all the juicy red fruits, power and complexity the region is famuos for. At the foot of the iconic Kaiserstuhl mountain, the early Silesian settlers of the Barossa constructed a stone altar a sanctuary for prayer in their new homeland. The Krondorf Stone Altar Shiraz is a tribute to the settlers resourcefulness and resilience, which helped these old resilient vines. This 2020 vintage sources its grapes from a very small plot of elegantly aged and interesting vines in the Barossa sub-region of Ebernezer. Crafted by Head Winemaker Nick Badrice, the Krondorf Stone Altar Grenache is all about precision and focus; with concentrated aromas of black cherries with intense earthy and aniseed character leading to a palate of bramble and spice with freshly cut fig, lovely freshness and structure from subtle notes from new and seasoned premium oak barrels. Elegantly poised, with wonderful freshness. Held back for flavour development before release.
