This wine presents a deep garnet hue. Fragrances of cranberry, red currant, cassis and herbs leap out of the wine glass. The palate shows classic Cabernet elements. Ripe flavours of cherry, cranberry and cassis integrate with vanilla oak and cedar. Balanced by firm tannins, the wine leads to a persistent and mouth filling finale. This wine can be cellared for a period of 6 to 8 years.

A wonderfully elegant yet flavorsome wine bursting with red and black currants, cherry plum fruit leather with subtle undertones of violet, aniseed and subtle cigar box aromas. Matured in new & used French oak barrels for 15 months. A Cabernet with dense ripe red and blue lifted fruits and rich cassis and tobacco notes. Some spice mixed with earthy tones. The wine is full bodied and fruit forward with pleasing black fruit surrounding a leafy core. The tannins are fine and focused. Good cleansing acidity with an elegant but savoury finish

Before fermentation starts the juice is concentrated by removing 15% of the volume. This facilitates a greater intensity of flavour. Heading down boards keep the cap submerged for better skin contact. The fermenters are temperature controlled to provide optimum conditions. Gentle extraction is achieved by the draining of wine from the skins and returning back over. Elegant and fragrant, this wine is all about vibrancy and fruit purity. Blackcurrant and herbal notes, bay leaf, violet florals and red-fruited freshness. It's layered and complex with a lovely mineral note running through, and oh-so-pure. Delightful drinking. Dry grown from our single vineyard organic plot in Yallingup. Hand harvest, foot & hand stomped into the terracotta pots. Hand plunged daily during wild fermentation then left on skins for six months with native malo. Basket pressed on a cold wintery day back to the amphora for maturation for three months. Hand bottled direct from the pots, sealed under cork with a wax top. No fining, no adds, no filtration, no pumping, no gas, only good old candle power & knuckle grease. Plus very minimal sulphur at the bottling process - this is to ensure no bottle variation & to eliminate any oxygen pick up.

It would be difficult to find a more classically Médoc wine than this great Cantemerle, with its sustained power and refined elegance. A very deep color and subtle aromas underscore its youth. Once in the mouth, this rich and full-bodied wine releases notes of coffee, olives and licorice which are emphasized by an opulent and harmonious length. A fine wine which marries fullness and delicacy, while avoiding heaviness and excessive oak.
