Capital Brewing Xpa

The XPA (ABV: 5.0% IBU: 30) takes on elements of their Mountain Brew XPA and the previously known Summit Session XPA (now Summit Session Ale) but delivers something entirely its own. It joins the Capital core range family at the expense of the Springboard Orange Wit, that has been discontinued. We find out why they chose not to give it a stable name, how, for now, it completes their circle of core range beers and much more.

Old Speckled Hen

A high proportion of Crystal malt in Old Speckled Hen provides the key toffee/caramel flavour. The yeast used to ferment the beer provides the other key character - estery or banana/pear drop. This estery note provides the fruity and refreshing balance. The hops used add a palate cleansing herbal note and very slight orange citrus.

Una Austrian Riesling

Deliciuos juicy green apple on the nose is complemented by ripe lemon notes. The palate is milder than expected but therefore fruity in its easy, fluid, bright juiciness. The finish is dry on this summery wine.

ORVAL Trappist Ale

The distinctive fruity and bitter taste of Orval beer means it has become a genuine reference in the exclusive world of authentic Trappist beers. Orval beer is a high fermentation beer. The ageing process adds a fruity note, which strikes a subtle balance between the beer’s full-bodied yet complex flavour and bitterness. The beer was first brewed in 1931 and owes its unparalleled taste to the quality of the water, the hops and the yeast used. The brewery has selected very aromatic and unique hop varieties, which hark back to the first brewmaster of Orval, who hailed from Bavaria. The beer’s aromas are very pronounced while maintaining the right level of bitterness thanks to the English method of dry hopping. The various stages of fermentation – combined fermentation with the original yeast and with wild yeast, followed by fermentation in the bottle – mean the beer must age for some time and requires numerous quality controls.

Verhaeghe Duchesse Flanders Red

Flanders red. Red barley, wild yeasts, aged in large oak foeders results in a complex, but refreshing sour beer.

Verhaeghe Duchesse Chocolate

A barred aged Flanders red sour, infused with whole cherries and just a touch of Belgian chocolate. Devine!

Balter IPA

Drinking Balter IPA is like frolicking naked through a spring forest, then dive bombing off a mandarin-scented waterfall. Its clean hoppy base offers a relentless, yet refined bitterness complemented by pine and citrus aromatics. Here's cheers to a big refresher after a hard-won day. Its clean hoppy base offers a relentless, yet refined bitterness complemented by pine and citrus aromatics and broad suit driven palate.

Duvel Golden Ale

Blonde and refreshing but with flavour and complexity, the Belgian Ale defines the strong Golden Ale. Made with Pilsner malts, Bohemian hops and a unique yeast strain, creating an intense, aromatic and beguiling Ale. Hahn Super Dry

Hahn SuperDry is brewed by combining the best of modern brewing technology with the finest ingredients, resulting in a full flavoured, crisp and refreshing low carb beer. The long brewing process breaks down more of the natural sugars to deliver a genuine SuperDry taste, with only a third of the carbs youll find in other full-strength beers.

La Chouffe Ale

Blonde style from Belgium, beautiful fruit on the palate finishing clean and crisp. La Chouffe is an unfiltered blonde beer, which is re-fermented in the bottle as well as in the keg. It is pleasantly fruity, spiced with coriander, and with a light hop taste.
