'Black Label' Cabernet Sauvignon, which was first vintaged in 1954, has evolved markedly over the decades. It is arguably Australia's most recognised Cabernet Sauvignon, and has more than any other, helped define Coonawarra. The wine is matured in new and seasoned French oak for 12 to 18 months. A classic Coonawarra Cabernet with pristine dark berry/ cassis aromas, fine grained tannins and underlying savoury nuances, it develops into a rich, chocolaty wine with age. In a super vintage, this wine can look astonishingly like a 2nd or 3rd growth Bordeaux with its pure cassis aromas and cedary complexity. Majella Cabernet Sauvignon is a classy Cabernet that is a cut above the rest when compared against anything at a similar price. Classic cassis, cedar and herbs are underlined by beautifully handled oak.

Spicy blend with some red plummy fruit characters to create a wine with full flavour and lovely length. Just right with slow-roasted veal and mushroom casserole.

Dense inky black heart with a very deep dark red black tinged hue. Streaming out of the glass are intense blackcurrant and mulberry aromas which are complimented by hints of red liquorice, cedary tobacco characters and bay leaf notes. Rich yet gorgeously refined the medium to full bodied palate is layered with ripe blackcurrant, red liquorice and mulberry fruits which meld into a back drop of cedary tobacco, subtle earth and bay leaf characters. An elegant and age-worthy barrel-ferment style, Terre à Terre Sauvignon Blanc shows attractive lemon-rind and nettle notes complemented by mid-palate creamy texture and gunflint complexity. The wine is barrel-fermented in a mix of barriques and large 600L demi-muids. Maturation then takes place over 6-9 months to build texture and complexity.

This Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the classic Coonawarra region of South Australia. Enticing dark fruit aromas of blackcurrant and mulberry mixed with a hint of mint and eucalypt entwine gracefully with earthy tones and mixed spice. Intense flavours of dark berries, vibrant cassis fruit and velvety tannins beautifully melded with subtle oak accompaniment.

The rich palate shows berry fruit flavour and soft ripe tannins. The finish is also soft and long. This is a classical Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon exhibiting elegance with excellent flavour and structure.
