Grenache has long been a stalwart of the South Australian wine scene and Penfolds have been blending Grenache with Shiraz since the 1950's. Recent years has seen a growing trend for the luscious perfumed styles like those emanating out of the northern Rhône and the Bin 138 produces a brilliant example. Marananga, centred in the North West quadrant of the Barossa provides some of the Valleys most powerful wines. Powerfully intense aniseed, blackberry, mulberry and blueberry fruit aromas, with ginger, mint notes. Vigorous and fleshy with generous blueberry, blackberry flavors, excellent mid-palate richness and plentiful brambly-chocolatey tannins.

This special edition 1.5 Litre Magnum 2021 Grand Barossa Shiraz celebrates 2023: The Year of the Rabbit, with both hosting and gifting in mind. A classic Barossa Shiraz that shows the classic dark plum, blackberry, exotic spice and toasty flavours of the region, making a wine of great class and refinement.

Shiraz wines from this region are typically characterised by lifted aromas of lavender and spice. The palate is full of red fruits, leather, cedar and fine, talc-like tannins.

Teusner Albert Shiraz is made from old vines in the northern Barossa; rich black fruits and tarry cassis with smoky undertones, the finish is long and luscious. Could easily be cellared for the medium term.

Fresh blackberry and boysenberry, spice, liquorice, tar and dried herbs. Medium bodied, juicy bramble fruits, crisp boysenberry acidity, salted beef, firm but fine grained drying tannin, and a long fresh meaty herb infused finish.

A big brooding Barossa wine with endless layers of fruit and oak. The tannins are very well integrated and will continue to develop in years to come. A great example of a true Barossa Shiraz.

Deep red in colour, The Brunette opens up with aromas of aniseed and spicy oak. Expect a palate full of red berries backed up by aniseed and liquorice. 'From a single vineyard in the Moppa district, a striking shiraz with deep, bright purple-red colour and youthful, undeveloped cherry aromas. The palate is full-bodied and fleshy, soft and superbly textured, with ample, persistent tannins and terrific length. Elegant yet powerful. It will reward cellaring. Huon Hooke | Good Food.
