Umamu Estate Sauvignon Blanc Semillon
Umamu Estate only releases their wines when theyve had time to develop in the bottle and this Sauvignon Blanc Semillon is drinking beautifully now. In the glass: Beautifully vibrant bright lemon with a still-youthful green tint. On the nose: Lifted mix of toast and honey development. On the palate: Rich and beautifully developed with a lovely warm core of buttered toast, preserved lemon and lemon curd in a terrifically textured, layered and complex wine. So remarkably fresh and complex.
Leeuwin Estate Siblings Sauvignon Blanc
Blend of two-thirds Sauvignon Blanc and one-third Semillon gets a touch of barrel aging, reflected in its silky texture more than any overt aromas or flavours. The palate is fruit-forward, offering hints of citrus, under ripe nectarine and green apple, finishing long and mouth-watering. Overall a youthful and vibrant blend.

Flowstone Margaret River Sauvignon Blanc
Appearance: Vibrant green gold. Aroma: Punchy guava with white flesh nectarine, and a hint of passionfruit pulp lift from the glass. There is an underlying lime zest note that helps to support these exotic characters. Citrus and subtle creamy elements help to complex the wine. This is a multi-layered, and engaging nose.Palate: Ripe nectarines, guava, some flinty highlights, with a lime zest finish. The palate has wonderful textures, while retaining a juiciness of fruit and lightness. There is great intensity of fruit, and fantastic length of flavour. The wine finished with a chalky mineral acidity, but subtle fruit flavours linger with this cleansing finale. The length of palate is the real key here - this is a Sauvignon Blanc that can be ruminated upon, but also just enjoyed.
Rosabrook Dear Father Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Forester Estate Margaret River Lifestyle Sauvignon Blanc

Aroma - Pungent Sauvignon Blanc characters of lychee, goosebery, passionfruit and lime along with roasted red capsicum and cut grass. Palate - Full and textured with balanced acidity. Food matches - A range of light dining cuisine, an everyday wine for all occasions. Peak drinking - Drink now. Viticulture - Fruit is sourced from neighbouring properties in the northern Yallingup sub-region of Margaret River. Direct input from Forester’s viticulturist ensures well balanced canopies and crops are grown for the ripe style desired. The 2022 vintage was a mild year for white grapes in Margaret River, allowing plenty of time during January and February to ripen the fruit to our specification. Winemaking - Modern white winemaking techniques are employed in the production of the Lifestyle Sauvignon Blanc, with temperature control considered critical from the moment the fruit reaches the winery. The fruit is destemmed and crushed, then must chilled and pressed off skins in a very short space of time. The clarified juice is then racked to a fermentation tank. A range of specially selected yeasts are employed on different parcels of fruit and the resulting dry tanks of wine are carefully blended to maintain the Forester Style. Storage and Bottling - Bottled under screwcap into a burgundy bottle.

Close monitoring and analysis of these vines leads to shoot or bunch thinning by hand if required to obtain the perfect balance for good exposure and healthy ripening. A philosophy of minimal inputs in this premium block allows the unique combination of variety, soil type and microclimate to shine through and produce a parcel of fruit with true character. The 2020 vintage was a warm year in Margaret River allowing plenty of time during January and February to ripen the fruit to our specification. Winemaking - The fruit was harvested early in the morning with 25% being crushed into 1 tonne fermenters for natural fermentation on skins for two weeks. The remainder was drained and pressed with the cloudy juice being sent to new and old barrels for natural fermentation. All barrels were lees stirred over 11 months before clarifying and blending of the best barrels. Storage and Bottling - The 2020 Jack out the Box Semillon was bottled in February 2021 to super premium reverse claret glass with a screwcap closure. This wine is drinking exceptionally well now and with prudent storage should continue to show well towards 2030.
Pierro LTC Sauvignon Blanc Semillon
Located in the heart of Western Australia’s renowned Margaret River wine region, the Pierro locality, owned and managed by Dr Mike Peterkin, has a viticultural pedigree second to none. Besides making award-winning Chardonnay of distinctive character, Mike also produced the first Semillon Sauvignon Blanc blend in Australia. The Pierro reds are now among the very best in the region. Each parcel is hand-picked, chilled, hand-sorted and whole bunch pressed. There are multiple picks for this wine. With the first batches being picked for aromatic complexity and acidity, and the latter being picked for flavour and texture. Each batch is kept separate and inoculated with different yeasts depending on the variety and date picked. During this time a quarter of the wine is fermented in French oak barriques for 2-3 months for mouthfeel and texture. These different elements combine as a whole to provide an incredible amount of complexity to the final wine. The separate batches are then combined and left on fermentation lees for 3-4 months prior to bottling. A light dry wine, delicious when young but has the capacity and backbone to mature and develop in the bottle. Flavours of citrus, pear, green apple, melon and tropical fruit. Fresh, crisp and dry with both complexity and elegance. An ideal accompaniment to seafood and white meat dishes.
