Krug Brut Vintage Champagne Pinot Noir Chardonnay & Pinot Meunier
At the House of Krug, every vintage is crafted to celebrate the distinctive character of a particular year. Krug 2011 is so opulent yet crisp, the House’s Tasting Committee nicknamed this Champagne “Spirited Roundness”. For Krug, the year 2011 gave birth to a surprising Champagne allying finesse and power with a spontaneous, vibrant side born from this fiery year. Krug 2011 is ample, generous, and assertive. To tell the story of 2011, a selection of Pinot Noir plots’ wines constitutes almost half (46%) of the blend, imparting beautiful structure and magnificent balance, while Chardonnay plots’ wines (37%), most affected by the heat spikes, imbue ripe and juicy fruit aromas, and Meuniers (17%) add a wonderful freshness with elegant bitters. The striking profile of Krug 2011 comes after 12 years in the cellars, gaining in expression, harmony, and finesse. As all Krug Champagnes, Krug 2011 will continue to gain with the passage of time.
Krug Rosé 20Ème Édition
Krug Rosé 20ème Édition is a blend of 66 wines from 5 different years, the youngest of which is from 2007, while the oldest dates back to 2002. ▪ Its final composition is 47% Pinot Noir, 37% Chardonnay and 16% Meunier. It was completed with 10% traditionally macerated Pinot Noir of the year to add colour, vivacity and structure. ▪ A stay of at least seven years in Krug’s cellars gives Krug Rosé its unique expression and elegance. At the House of Krug, we give time to the unforgettable and there is no recipe for Krug Champagnes. While the larger formats will stay longer in the cellars longer than the 75cl bottle, each Édition – bottle, Magnum or Jeroboam – is regularly tasted and appraised, leaving the cellars only when the winemaking team decides it is ready. This means precise times may vary from one Édition to another, as no two Éditions are alike.
Krug Rosé 29ème Édition
Product Description: The Krug Rosé 29ème Édition is a masterfully crafted expression of rosé Champagne, distinguished by the House of Krug’s signature approach of blending across multiple vintages to achieve depth, nuance and exceptional harmony. Rather than relying solely on a single harvest, this edition weaves together reserve wines some aged for over a decade with the year’s base wines to create a layered and evocative profile that transcends typical rosé Champagne conventions. In the glass it displays a luminous salmon-pink hue that reflects both finesse and vibrancy. Aromatically, the bouquet is generous yet refined, unveiling red berries and orchard fruit interlaced with rose petal, brioche and subtle spice, accented by delicate smoky undertones evocative of fine terroir expression. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, driven by vibrant acidity that gives direction and lift to rich layers of strawberry, raspberry and citrus. There’s a fine interplay between creaminess and tension, with minerality and a whisper of savoury complexity adding dimension to the sumptuous fruit core. The finish is persistent and elegantly poised, combining freshness with echoes of red fruit and delicate florals. As with all Krug Champagnes, this rosé is crafted to evolve gracefully with bottle age, offering both immediate pleasure and rewarding complexity over time. The 29ème Édition stands as a distinctive and compelling rosé Champagne, worthy of special celebrations. Tasting Notes NOSE – Expressive and layered Aromatic currents of wild strawberry, raspberry and red cherry blossom with nuances of rose petal, fresh citrus zest, brioche and gentle spice. PALATE – Rich yet refined A seamless texture carries luscious red fruit, white peach and citrus flavours framed by vibrant acidity, subtle creaminess and saline minerality. FINISH – Persistent and elegant Long and nuanced, with lingering notes of red berries, floral warmth, gentle toast and fine mineral tension.
