With four generations of winemaking to draw on, McGuigan wines, led by winemaker Neil McGuigan, have been awarded International Winemaker of the Year four times. A contemporary cabernet sauvignon featuring alluring black and red berry fruit, briar and spicy oak aromas. The rich fruit driven palate builds slowly with cocoa tannins and blackcurrants coating the mouth before the restrained power and seamless structure deliver and elegant and long finish.

The McGuigan Black Label Red is an approachable, medium bodied style with a nice combination of ripe, soft fruit flavours and the perfect balance of tannin to provide some structure. McGuigan produce another fantastically smooth and rich Merlot from their Black Label range. It is a soft and flavoursome wine with ripe fruit flavours of raspberry, cherry and plums integrated with subtle oak.

McGuigan provides a luscious and smooth drinking Cabernet Merlot here with nice concentration from the Cabernet Sauvignon balanced well with smooth, silky Merlot. Plums and blackcurrants cover the palate complimented by a silky finish.

The wines were in development for over two years and use the latest spinning cone technology, working at low temperatures to gently remove alcohol after the fermentation process, ensuring the wines maintain their delicate fruit flavours. The wines were created to maintain strong varietal characteristic, it added, containing no artificial sweeteners or additives.
