ECHO DE LYNCH BAGES Second Wine of Chateau Lynch-Bages, Pauillac

MOULIN DE DUHART Second wine of Chateau Duhart-Milon-Rothschild

Château Duhart-Milons second wine is selected on the same basis as the Grand Vin. In general, the grapes are from the younger plots in the vineyard. Moulin de Duhart has several characteristics similar to the grand vin, but with less potential for ageing as its barrel ageing period is shorter. It should be consumed younger than its more robust counterpart. The origin of the name comes from the former presence of a windmill on the Carruades plateau, next to the Duhart-Milon vineyard. Decanting: About an hour Tasting temperature: 16 -18 °C

Chateau Pape-Clement Cru Classe de Graves

Château Pape Clément is one of Bordeaux’s oldest and most distinguished estates, established in the 13th century and named for Pope Clement V. Based in Pessac and overseen by Bernard Magrez, the vineyard produces Grand Cru Classé red wines from carefully tended vines averaging 30 years of age, on gravel-rich soils that encourage depth and complexity. The blend, primarily Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with small portions of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, is harvested meticulously by hand for maximum purity. Vinification is carried out parcel by parcel, with fruit fermented in wooden vats then matured in French oak barriques for up to 20 months under the guidance of renowned oenologist Michel Rolland. The result is a wine of striking presence, offering aromas of dark plum, blackcurrant, tobacco, and subtle smoke, while the palate delivers richness and structure, with layers of ripe dark fruit, velvety tannins and lingering notes of chocolate and spice.
