The second wine of "crowd favourite", Chateau Potensac, Chapelle de Potensac was created and first sold by Jean-Hubert Delon with the 2002 vintage. This elegant, traditionally made second wine possesses beautiful balance founded on smoothness and freshness. Its terroir of fine gravel and clay sands can be found in various parts of Potensac's historical terroir, on the edge of the village. The 2016 vintage consisting of Merlot 75 %, Cabernet Sauvignon 17 % and Cabernet Franc 8 %, has been widely acclaimed by critics for its fragrant, lifted, fresh fruit qualities and approachability.

Lying at the top of a hill, exceptional sunshine and clay soils are perfect for the Merlot grape variety, of which 85% of the vineyards are planted. Aromas of black fruits. Delicate vanilla and coffee compliment the rich black cherries and blueberry fruit. A creamy, velvety texture, full-bodied, while remaining perfectly balanced with a fresh acidity and a long finish. A classic Bordeaux right-bank style, soft, round, elegantly fruity and balanced.

Château Du Cartillon Haut Medoc Cru Bourgeois
Situated close to the Gironde estuary in the town of Lamarque is the excellent Chateau du Cartillon. The blend for the 2016 vintage wine is 69% Merlot, 19% Petit Verdot and 12% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine has excellent balance and displays a deep ruby colour. Firm flavours of red berries, cherries, licorice and a touch of chocolate can be noted. The wine finishes with a very Medoc-like tannin structure.

Chateau Peymouton is a part of the famed Chateau Laroque, situated about 3.5km east of the medieval town of Saint Emilion. When 27 hectares of Chateau Laroque was elevated to Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classé status in 1996, the remaining 31 hectares on the property was designated as Chateau Peymounton - a new Saint Emilion Grand Cru. The Chateau Peymouton parcels are situated on the higher part of the property's plateau, where the soil is composed of fine clay over a limestone base. The wine is made by the same team as Chateau Laroque with the same attention to detail. A blend of 72% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc, and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, with an average vine age of 38 years. Deep dark crimson red, with complex aromatics of blue fruit, cigar box, and hints of violets. Very rich and powerful on the palate, with plush, dense, velvety tannins. A complex, richly flavoured Saint Emilion reflecting its Grand Cru status and the warm vintage.
