A relatively new name but Dog Point's owners have years of experience in Marlborough and this label is much sought after. This release is beautifully textured rich and delicious.

Mumm Marlborough Brut Prestige is a distinctive sparkling wine that marries the best of New Zealand Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier grapes with Méthode Traditionnelle techniques from the French Champagne Maison Mumm. The result is a refined, elegant wine of exceptional quality & delightful fruity notes. Notes of fresh fruit (pear, apricot, peach, and citrus) dominate, complemented by notes of honey and biscuit. After a frank and lively attack, fresh fruit notes permit a beautiful balance on the palate. A tense and attractive structured finish. Aged for a minimum of two years in our cellars.

Dark cherry, violet and cinnamon spice aromas complement red fruit, chocolate and subtle spice flavours on the palate. The fruit flavours are framed with supple tannins and a core of juicy acidity. This wine is immediately enjoyable but will continue to drink well for the next eight years if you can wait that long.

Catalina Sounds is a truly classic New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc! Think back back to the early days when Kiwi Savvy was just starting to hit our shelves and how gob-smacked we were over the quality, vibrancy and sheer drinkability of such an aromatic wine. Catalina Sounds still exudes all of those fantastic qualities that we all fell in love with. Perfumed aromas of gooseberry with hints of tropical fruit, the palate follows with fresh and zingy characters that display ripe passionfruit and citrus flavours all complimented by lingering acidity.

The bouquet is pure and expressive showing vibrant passionfruit, tropical fruit and grapefruit aromas, with underlying blackcurrant leaf and herbal notes. The palate is concentrated and elegant, with fruit flavours that are consistent with the nose; grapefruit, mango and herbal. A lively acidity and mineral drive, provide the wine with exceptional concentration and length.

This wine shows an array of fruit characters, ranging from citrus through to tropical notes. This is complemented by some secondary characters from the natural yeast ferments and also some barrel aging. The palate has an elegant structure with a creamy, textural mid-palate and a long finish.
