A single-block Shiraz from 80-year-old vines. Hand harvested. The fruit, spends 10 days on skins, hard pressings removed. Moved to puncheons for malolactic conversion & maturation, 14 months on oak. An approachable, yet complex, drop. A nose of Red berries, earthy tones & baking spice. A full & fleshy palate of plums, berries, dried spice, & chocolate with robust tannin structure.

III Associates bring together 3 passionate people together to produce amazingly concerntrated and regional wines. Their Giant Squid Ink Shiraz shows brilliant purple hues and violets on the nose and with brilliant use of French Oak, the palate is smooth, velvety and concentrated with all the berry fruit one can handle.

While certainly lighter, more elegant, and a different style to that of some of previous years, the 2011 vintage is one of the greatest Grenache vintages Yangarra has ever produced. The white pepper spice is telling of such a cool year, and is married with bright cherries and raspberry alongside complex hints of liquorice, chicory and cured meats. The tannins are fine and delicate, and the acidity alike.

The Chap is Ben Riggs interpretation of classic blending traditions. Tailor-made to each vintage, this wine is bespoke, well-cut and is an homage to past blending masters.

This Shiraz is a complex mix of power and elegance. Rich in texture and bursting with dark berry flavours, the wine lingers long on the palate with fine silky tannins.

Almost opaque, deep crimson to dark red. Immediately rich yet elegant bouquet, deep dark plum and baked cherries. Nutmeg, chocolate and coffee hints build with time. Layered and complex, texture beginning silky smooth and highly polished. Tannin intensity climbs to provide assertive and very fine tannins, offering perfect support to carry blackberry, satsuma and dark plum, and rich cherry through the very long palate. Subtle hints of dried fig and cocoa bean add interest to the dry spice notes from the nose. Succulent, driven acidity increases intensity and lifts fruit vibrancy throughout the palate, marrying with the tannins to define a firmly structured finish, assuring its ageability and prowess.
