Vermentino has been planted in Langhorne Creek for around 30 years, but this is the debut release of the Heartland Vermentino, and it's a superb example of the variety.Pale straw with a silver hue. Aromas of lemon verbena, grapefruit pith, yellow apples, white flowers and sea spray. Juicy saline entry, with notes of pink salt and ripe pear, green melon depth, and a slippery yet textural finish.

Grown on the Roxburgh vineyard in the Upper Hunter Valley, no other varietal represents a sustainable growing future like Vermentino. Naturally high acid makes a bright, textural delight with tangy citrus flavour and acidity. Plenty of crunch and energy, we hope this wine is still around in the warmer months.

Transparent and brilliant colour. It has harmonious and delicate taste, pleasantly aromatic with floral and fine aromas and herbaceous note. On the palate it is a balanced grappa, pleasant, with soft and right alcohol intensity.

While that marriage fell apart, Miraval Rosé has gone from strength to strength reflecting the enduring combination of Cinsault, Grenache, Rolle (Vermentino) and Syrah. A small proportion of the blend was barrel fermented to give an extra level of complexity, while Rolle better known today by its Italian name Vermentino brings aromatic intensity floral notes on the palate. The gorgeous pale blush colour, superb pure red cherry, stone fruit, rock melon aromas, and flavours, supple textures and crunchy freshness are all in perfect balance. Vinified under the supervision of the great Perrin winemaking family, Miraval is a technically brilliant and stylish rosé with wonderful buoyancy, substance and minerality.
