Michele Chiarlo was founded in 1956 by the sole and present owners, Michele and Giuseppina Chiarlo. Son of over seven generations of esteemed wine growers, Michele is today one of the most respected producers of the fine wines of Piedmont and a leading figure in its viticultural industry. Asili is a relatively new cru within the Barbaresco DOCG. It is said that the blue-grey calcareous marl and clay here contribute to the complexity of the wines here, along with their delicate and refined characters. Delicately perfumed, with characters of pure red fruits and gently aromatic, floral notes, supported by fine spices. Silky tannins frame a core of red berry fruits. Extremely charming, elegant and approachable.

Hand-harvested from select Moscato Bianco vineyards in the Piedmont DOCG, typically with white, sandy soils of maritime origin. The grapes are pressed long and slow, with the juice fermented at low temperatures to capture the variety's typical musky perfume, with fermentation stopped at 5% abv. The carbon dioxide produced during fermentation is retained to give this wine its typical frizzante style. Beautifully aromatic, with floral notes of roses, ripe peach, apricot and mango. Fresh and lively on the palate, with well-balanced summer fruit flavours, zingy acidity, refreshing bubbles and luscious sweetness. So perfumed and extremely drinkable.

Easy on the palate with just the right amount of chewiness to it. Pairing To be drunk with everything and anything, but more than that we hope it will be drunk with as many people as possible...

The wine to be at the centre of the table! In the same spirit as the red, it flatters and compliments whatever is in the mouth. It’s a wine that knows its place just like a good friend. Grape varieties Sauvignon / Colombard / Chenin (just to mention a few…) Nuance, aroma & taste Light and brilliant straw colour. Fresh, tonic, notes of grapefruit, pear but also caramelised pineapple and a touch of honey. A very fresh wine, well-balanced, with some residual sugar (imperceptible but maintains the fruit and length on the pallet) to better appreciate the sweet and savoury and acid flavours, with a nice bitter taste somewhere between citrus zest and bergamot from Nancy. Pairing :Some oysters whilst on the go, a couple of anchovies on toast and a fresh salad on a terrasse with friends...

Nuance, aroma & taste Dark purple but not opaque. Expressive with notes of mature mixed berries and simmering red fruit jam, with a touch of spices and leather. Medium bodied, fresh and generous with ever present fruit and imperceptible tannins, straight from the bottle it will smack you on the tongue and will never disappoint. Pairing Perfect for a buffet dinner, with a few verrines, a cheese and meat platter, pizzas and grilled meats

Pale gold. Very expressive, notes of roasted almonds-hazelnuts, confited citrus fruit and a good dose of vanilled butter and toasted bread. Round, rich, with a soft and envelopping substance, as a whole well balanced with a sparse freshness, the end taste is very intense and is marked by notes of wood (buttered/toasty/smoked/vanilla) upheld by a slight bitterness and spices.
