The Tri-Centenary from Yalumba, is a very special and individual showcase of the just 820 gnared Bush Vines planted in 1889, growing in the Barossa Valley soil for over 125 years. A deep scarlet red that bursts with aromas of rose petals, plum, chocolate and cassis. With time, layers of vanilla cream, olive and sweet oak spice unfold. The palate is plush and generous, filled with dark cherry, plum and a touch of espresso, gliding into an elegant finish framed by fine tannins. Beautifully balanced and already drinking well, with the structure to evolve gracefully in the cellar.

The Signature with the benefit of bottle age, has evolved into an elegant and expressive experience. The nose is a complex tapestry of cool, fresh aromas, showing perfumed mints and a hint of leafy maturity, alongside concentrated notes of blueberry and small red berries, framed by spicy cedar. On the palate, it is delightfully fresh and refined, with generous red berry fruit seamlessly integrated with oak. The wine is medium-to-full bodied, boasting a beautifully long and flowing profile, supported by finely honed tannins that have achieved a silky, mature integration.

Defying those who deemed it impossible, the Mt. Lord Vineyard site lies on a steep slope high up facing east, overlooking the Coal River Valley. The combination of low yielding, multiclonal blocks and our small batch winemaking philosophy, using the finest of French oak barriques, challenge and excite us each harvest.
