The vines range in age from fifteen to one hundred and twenty-six years old. The Marananga soils are predominantly red-yellow loams over red clay, which produce powerful, yet precise wines. Ageing takes place in French oak barriques for fifteen months with twenty-five percent of the oak being used for the first time.
