French Wine

Lulu Le Francais Sauvignon Blanc

Le Lulu Sauvignon Blanc is a popular Vin de France featuring Liberty, Quality and Creativity! Meticulous sourcing and modern winemaking technologies result in a delicious fruit driven wine showing pure fruit aromatics and liveliness. The fruit is sourced from vineyards between the Pyrenees and the Atlantic coast including Gascony. The growing season benefits from a maritime influence and warm summers. Vinified in stainless steel the fruit-driven Lulu Le Francais Sauvignon Blanc style is all about fun, fruitiness and freshness. Tropical fruit, grapefruit aromas and flavours, plentiful sweet fruit notes and a persistent tang are typical. This is a very versatile and gluggable wine! Pair with antipasto, raw or grilled fish, Niçoise salad, or quiche. Or enjoy with friends.

Chais du Moulin Red

With a family estate rooted in Burgundy and Beaujolais, Laurent Guillot could easily have stayed in this prestigious part of France and focused on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. However, he was keen to look further afield to the vineyards of better-value southern France where creative winemakers are much less bound by rules. And that’s where he’s stayed, coaxing out delicate fruit elegance from the likes of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault for red blends. Chais du Moulin is a ripe, silky blend of raspberry-rich Grenache, blackberry-scented Syrah with the herby red fruits of Cinsault. This is a very enjoyable, easy-going red to sip on its own or alongside roast chicken.

La Folie de Pierre Sauvignon Blanc

Want a sassily fresh white handy in the fridge? Pop in a bottle of La Folie de Pierre. It’s an appetising creation from Pierre-Jean Sauvion, formerly in charge of winemaking at Muscadet’s famous Château du Cléray, an estate owned by his uncle. Pierre-Jean now has a number of projects on the go. Having studied oenology in Bordeaux and worked in Australia and California, he is the epitome of the modern, outward looking French winemaker, whose approach shines through in this contemporary style Sauvignon. He sources grapes for La Folie from trusted friends in Touraine, Pays Nantais and Haut Poitou, to strike a balance of complexity, freshness and ripe fruit. Enjoy chilled solo or with food – we suggest asparagus risotto or courgette frittata.

Chateau La Coste Provence Grand Vin Rosé

Selection of grapes from old vines. Manually harvested and sorted by the vines and in the cellar. Direct pressing of whole grapes. Fermentation and maturation in stainless steel vats on fine lees (4 to 5 months). Certified organic production. These wines are marked by a finesse and minerality. Round and rich in the mouth with plenty of volume. White fruits (peaches and pears) dominate alongside floral notes and hints of red fruits. A finish that is long and fresh.
