It all began in 2015 when two mates from Adelaide hatched a crazy plan to start a gin distillery. One had a history in the food & beverage industry, the other – a graphic designer – passionate about creating brands. From humble beginnings in an inner-suburbs back yard garage to becoming an Adelaide institution, the Prohibition brand soon became a success. Prohibition Christmas Gin is fast becoming a hallmark of Australian Yuletide traditions, and their 2022 vintage is no exception. Delving further into the abundance of native treasures at the Australian National Botanic Gardens, Ad Crescendum var Flosferam Native Gin continues our collaboration with the gardens. Seeking a perfect match with apple and juniper, Drouin has signed off on a new blend devoted to red berries. A "one plant at a time" distillation policy lets Drouin keep adjusting proportions so as to obtain the best possible result. Tasting note: [2018 edition] Clear. Bright and clear colour, with metallic glints in the border. The gin has a citric presence on the nose with fruity and juniper notes. Taste-wise, it's fresh and fruity, with vibrant citric notes and an underlying touch of lemongrass and juniper.

This is a new artisan craft Gin from a historical 1865 distillery Chiyomusubi in the prefecture of Tottori in Japan. Hand crafted and blended with quality and local, genuine Japanese ingredients. Specific botanicals such as (yuzu citrus, Hassaku citrus, ginger and Lindera) are used to the base spirit shocho distilling technology cultivated over many years. This is in addition to the typical botanicals of gin (juniper berries, coriander, angelica, lemon). The pallet is refreshing, delicate and lifted subtle characteristics, followed by fresh citrus and spice. The length is followed by a lingering flavour or creamy yogurt-like acidity.
