The name is inspired by Dr. James Lind of Edinburgh who conducted one of the first clinical trials noting scurvy patients benefit from citrus. Key aromas include juniper and citrus followed by white pepper, lime peel and coriander, so more-or-less classic London Dry. Just five botanicals make for a deliciously creamy, mouth filling gin (without being over the top); dense juniper, grapefruit and hints of lime peel vie with pepper and coriander seed. Ink Gin is a beautifully delicate modern Australian gin. Lemon myrtle & orange citrus, soft floral & fresh pine notes are followed by a spicy pepperberry finish. Pot distilled with a blend of 12 Australian native, traditional & exotic botanicals before being infused with an exotic blue flower which imparts smoothness and all natural indigo colour. The flower is pH sensitive, mixing from indigo to blush pink with the addition of tonic, lemon or lime.

Family owned Distillery located in Spring Bay Tasmania. Botanicals: 11 including 3 local botanicals (Native Bush Pepper, Lemon Myrtle, Tasmanian Wattleseed). Botanicals are steeped for 24 to 48 hours then additional Juniper and Liquorice Root are vapour infused in the neck of our copper pot still to give a traditional Juniper flavour at the front of the palate through to a sweet liquorice finish. This gin is triple distilled giving the spirit an ultra-smooth flavour despite the higher than normal ABV. Nose: Immediate sweet floral notes of juniper, liquorice and spice. Palate: From a bright and sweet juniper opening, the flavours build across the palate to include perfumed floral notes, bright citrus and a crescendo culminating in a big, warm and comforting glow of star anise and liquorice root. Finish: A round smooth mouthfeel from this oily spirit gives way to a fine clean finish of liquorice and spice.

Malfy Gin is distilled in Italy, the birthplace of gin, distilled by the Vergnano family. Using Italian ingredients, including lemons from the Amalfi coast, gives Malfy its signature Italian flavour. Malfy Con Arancia Gin is distilled using the peel of Sicilian blood oranges, Italian juniper and four other botanicals. Blood oranges are a prized variety in Sicily and harvested in November. Their rich and red colour develops from the cool Mediterranean nights.

Headlands Distilling Co. was founded in 2015 by four friends, with nothing more than a goal to produce unique, handcrafted spirits. All other Australian gins are based on imported Macedonian/European juniper. Whether or not this is technically gin is debatable since they don’t contain the same species of juniper, but they won medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and London World Spirits Competition. Pushing the boundaries with this one, very different taste to classic gin. Traditional juniper is juniperus communis, Australian native juniper is myoporum insulare, known by botanists as Australian native juniper although it is a different species.
