Outside of the core range, there’s always something interesting to taste when you visit Chandon de Briailles—be it François de Nicolay’s négoce sans soufre wines, or something like Christian Knott’s skin-fermented La Vie est Belle. Even so, we were a little surprised to be presented with this Burgundian ‘Port’. This is drawn from late picked fruit in the very warm 2013’s harvest—mainly Savigny Lavières—where the fruit was picked extremely late (the end of October), crushed by foot, fermented and then fortified on skins (to 18.5%) using the Domaine’s own Fine de Bourgogne. The wine was then aged for five years in both topped and un-topped barrels before blending and bottling, with no SO2, in 2018. Pousse au Crime means to incite a crime, and this might certainly do that (by encouraging others to have a go at this wine style) as it’s absolutely delicious. The nose is packed with ripe plum, prune, coffee grinds and subtle, varnished oak leading to a silky, luscious, creamy, layered palate with similar notes—but mostly delicious characters of crushed raisins, milk chocolate and a long, warm and spicy close. Like a really, really fine Banyuls. Best served at cellar temperature with coffee and chocolate, but could also work with cheese and richer desserts (or, for the adventurous, a cleverly matched savoury course with the right sauce).

Attractive green colour. Bold complex aromas and flavours of forest herbs, apple mint jelly, eucalyptus honey, and pepper with a satiny, racy, moderately sweet medium-full body and a warming, subtle, long finish with notes of menthol, minerals, and pepper. An intense roller coaster of herbal forest flavours with a nice cooling and throat clearing effect. It is a type of Liqueur that is flavoured with herbs and spices and traditionally drunk neat as a digestif but it can also be a great addition to cocktails.

Sweet caramel taste that is perfectly paired with fine sea salt for a smooth and delicious Liqueur. Best served neat, over ice, or with cream, ice cream or milk.

Delicate, with plenty of sweet aromas of Elderflower on the nose. Subtle but rich on the palate then mellows quickly with the Lychee flavours cutting through. Although short, a fragrance of elderflower still lingers.Enjoy neat on ice, with soda water or lemonade. It can also be used in cocktails or mixed with sparkling wine.

Clear, very pale pink blush. A light entry builds into a moderately concentrated and expectedly sweet Turkish Delight / nougat profile that's more cocoa like at the finish.Enjoy as a sweet dessert drink on ice, in a cocktail, or over ice cream.

Golden rich amber colour. Delicate aromas and flavours reminiscent of caramelised nut, vanilla custard, coconut, and warm honey with a silky, bright, moderately sweet medium body and a warming, complex, medium-long finish with woody notes of brown spices. A delicious whiskey Liqueur with slight bourbon character.It can be enjoyed straight or mixed in many cocktails like Manhattan, Old Fashioned, Espresso Martini or just added to your coffee and ice cream.

A great fruit zesty and aromatic passionfruit taste liqueur. Balance of sweet, acid and bitter savours which makes a subtle and particularly refreshing feel in the mouth. A fruity, strong and specific Passionfruit taste with quite intense and long-lasting aromas.Drink straight, on the rocks, or use in cocktail. It can also be poured over ice cream or used in a variety of sweets and cakes.

Pale, translucent sienna brown. A superb perfume of Dark Chocolate and Peppermint delivering terrific intensity and purity. It repeats on the palate with medium dry, choc-peppermint flavours rounded off by an impressive fresh cool mint aftertaste that shows excellent staying power.This Choc Mint Liqueur can be consumed straight, as an after-dinner drink rather than as aperitif. It can also be use in mixed drinks and in desserts or ice-creams.

A genuine Australian bush flavour, wattle seeds exemplify expressions of grain, nut, coffee and occasionally chocolate when roasted.
