What started in the early part of the 20th century as an effort by a handful of enthusiastic entrepreneurs has evolved into a prosperous corporation with international recognition. Today the 'La Nacional' company has an extensive line of products which account for 98% of the domestic spirits market in Guatemala. In addition to its comprehensive line of 'Botran' rums, La Nacional also produces 'Ron Zacapa Centenario'. This exceptional bottling contains a blend of rums from 6 to 23 years old and is an exemplary example of the spirit and a must for any serious rum drinker's collection.

Tasting note: Amber gold. Gently warming aromas of vanilla wafer, crème caramel, pineapple pudding and honey with a delicate lift, following through to a light to medium bodied, cream-textured rum suggesting flavours of caramelised fruits, tea biscuits, gentle spice and trace molasses to finish. Sweet, smooth sipping. 40% Alc./Vol.

Production: This rum is first aged for 5 years in American oak casks at its place of origin in the Caribbean (Guyana and Barbados). Then it is shipped to Williams & Humbert’s installations in Jerez (Spain), where the rum is aged for another 3 years in casks that have previously held the internationally renowned Dos Cortados palo cortado sherry (aged for 20 years, as certified by the Jerez-Xérès-Sherry Regulatory Council). Tasting notes: This two-stage process produces old rum of unique characteristics, with a matchless bouquet and flavour. It is exceptionally smooth. Suggestions for consumption: Excellent in a balloon glass either neat or on ice. Superb in elegant mixed drinks and cocktails.

Lily White is a blend of aged Agricole and traditional rums, still and column distilled. Rich and intense, a very rare blended white rum in the World. Clear and transparent in colour. Woody and floral frangrances. Flavours of ground coffee, coconut and honey. Slight fruit and spice, pronounced finish. Gift boxed.

Emperor Sherry Cask Finish is a blend of the best traditional and Agricole rums from the oldest Mauritian warehouses. Distilled in Charente stills and aged in French and American oak and sherry barrels. Natural amber in colour. Candied red fruit, sweet ripe figs, orange marmalade, rich sweet sherry flavour. Sweet finish of coffee, dark chocolate and Indian ocean spices. Gift boxed.

Kuna Panama is tradition at its best, the 8 year old rum uses dry season Panamanian, freshly squeezed and distilled sugar cane, placed in ex_bourbon oak barrels for ageing. Light gold in colour. Rich texture, full of dried red fruits. Drier nose, floral with sustained vanilla and caramel. Hint of red wine barrel ageing. Warm toffee and caramel front palate, floral notes of vanilla and apple blossum. Leather notes, matured red wine finish. Gift boxed.

Samai Distillery started back in 2014, using the highest quality molasses from local sugar cane to produce their rums along with drops of Cambodian honey. A combination of pot and column distillation is used, the pot still giving a rich spirit full of character and the column providing a light rum to blend. The rums are aged in a combination of French oak, American Bourbon barrels and Spanish sherry casks to create a seamless blend of mature flavours. Nose: Sweet notes of vanilla, molasses and honey. Palate: Hints of oak, vanilla and honey are married together and a slight persisting sweetness.
