Over three generations the Barry name has been famous throughout the wine world and synonymous with the Clare Valley. Jim Barry bought his first vineyard here in 1959, and even helped the Taylor family open their winery a decade later. Argento Reserva Malbec has a dark violet color and offers concentrated aromas of black plums, black cherries, and blackberries. These vibrant black fruit flavors provide a pleasing weight on the palate, and the predominant French oak characters from 9 months of ageing are rounded off perfectly by a supple mouth texture.

Malbec has proven to be one of the most successful red grape varieties in Argentina. This example from Santa Julia is full-bodied rich and spicy with well balanced tannins on the palate. A great match for matured cheeses.
