Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. Deep dark red core with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Spicy red to dark cherry aromas mix with hints of stalky cedar, earth and meaty notes. On the palate generous dark cherry fruits are intertwined with strawberry, earth, spicy dried meat characters and dried herbs. Good flesh with slightly grainy tannins and a savoury medium length conclusion. Drink over the next 3-4 years. Alc. 13.5%

Pale brick red with an opaque rim. Aromas of rhubarb, beetroot, rose petal jam and dark berries mingle with hints of spice and savoury charcuterie. The palate is finely structured, with bright acidity and supple tannins carrying fresh red fruits through to a long, poised finish — a suave yet serious Pinot Noir.

From the famed region of Central Otago in New Zealand comes Pepperjack Pinot Noir. The juicy flavours from the nose continue with a mouth filling dark cherry and luscious cassis character matched with supple mouth filling tannin that gives a silken textural structure. The savoury cocoa and resinous spices from the oak and whole bunch fermentation help draw the red and blue fruits across palate melding to a complex and concentrated finish.

Dark cherry, violet and cinnamon spice aromas complement red fruit, chocolate and subtle spice flavours on the palate. The fruit flavours are framed with supple tannins and a core of juicy acidity. This wine is immediately enjoyable but will continue to drink well for the next eight years if you can wait that long.
