Displaying an intense ruby colour, the 2018 Inara Pinot Noir is a study in red fruits. Full of dark cherry, raspberry and macerated strawberry flavours, the palate of this wine has silky tannins and a touch of clove spice from the oak ageing. A wine made to be enjoyed with family and friends.

Hand plunged in open fermenters, 30% whole bunch. 10 months maturation in 20% new French barriques, 80% seasoned French barriques. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.Ripe red cherries, some nutmeg spice. Aromatics lifted by subtle whole bunch fermentation plushness. Rich, structured palate.

This rather regal Pinot Noir takes its name from the source of its premium fruit – the Marchington Vineyard, planted on the Marchington estate, by a man called John Smith, the alleged illegitimate son of a King of England, shipped to Tasmania in the 1800s.
