Pinot Noir

Frerejean Freres Non-Vintage Brut Premier Cru

The Frerejean brothers are the latest generation in a line of cannon-makers, who supplied the French army defending the region against the Prussians, during the Napoleonic Wars.Frerejean Frères take a fresh approach to Champagne, which respects traditional methods, but leaves room for innovation. Rooted in the grand cru village of Avize, Frerejean Frères only uses grand cru and premier cru plots from the Côte des Blancs. 50% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir, low brut dosage, aged for 5 years. The FJF Brut Premier Cru is elegant, with a beautiful maturity of fruits and tension on the palate. Its expressive nose develops aromas of baked apples and dry fruits leading to aromas of honey and almonds. On the palate, nuances of white fruits, spices, candied fruits, honey and brioche are enhanced by a delicate mousse. 'It’s certainly fuller and older than most NV’s. Quite a mouthful. Very aperitif and entrée wine.' 16.5/20 - JANCIS ROBINSON

Arras EJ Carr

The 2006 vintage has evolved to express the depth of flavour, minerality, structural elegance and vibrancy. Lifted characters of sea spray, exotic spice, Shiitake mushroom and brioche. xquisite structural elegance and great tension within the balance of dosage, acidity and fine tannin. The wine finishes with the vibrancy of lingering natural acidity. Pair with fresh seafood, either natural or with a light Asian influence.
