Bird On A Wire Pinot Noir

An elegant wine with fresh red fruit characters to enjoy now or cellar to reward you later. When: The quality of grapes from this vineyard is exceptional. The red fruit flavours make this a delightful wine to drink young, but with some age you will see this wine come into its own. The food you partner with this wine may be considered a little sophisticated, which will only make this moment all the more special. Why: The only way to understand the fascination with this captivating grape is to take your time with it, to engage in discussion about it, to actively compare it with other pinot noir wines, and to drink it with the cuisine it works best with. Pinot noir is a journey and one of the most enjoyable wine journeys you can find.

Nanny Goat Vineyard Pinot Noir

Nanny Goat Vineyard is the clear leader of the pack when it comes to affordable Central Otago Pinot Noir. Made in a fruit forward style with mounds of fresh berry fruit and intense lifted perfume notes of violet and blueberry. Still medium-bodied on the palate with soft, powdery tannin, this is a Pinot for the moment.

Denton Pinot Noir

Saddleback Pinot Noir

Saddleback is the second label to Greg Hay's Peregrine and the Pinot Noir is made using fruit from the Gibbston and Cromwell Basin sub regions of Central Otago. Light, elegant with black cherry and plum fruit, held together by a fine tannin structure and refreshing acidity.

Brokenwood Pinot Noir

This wine is bright in colour with youthful tints and medium density. The Beechworth Pinot Noir is consistent with its lifted cherry fruit with the oak very much in the background. The red fruit spectrum continues on the palate with Campari like savoury fruit. Soft tannins make for a very enjoyable young, vibrant Pinot Noir.

Quealy Musk Creek Pinot Noir

Musk Creek Pinot Noir is evolving slowly to open up to its full potential. Some spearmint, raspberry and spice aroma; palate is moderate weight, silky and fine natural acid.

Ravensworth 'The Long Way Around' Tinto

We made no wine from our NSW vineyards due to extreme smoke taint concentrations from the bushfires that ravaged our region from December to late January 2020. With this on our minds we headed west, as far as we could go to look for fruit and winemaking space. Luckily lots of industry colleagues stepped up to help and we found ourselves with options from Swan valley, Margaret and Frankland rivers and the deep south vineyards of Porongurup. This is one of a pair of multi-region blends based on the fruit from this wonderful old vineyard in the Swan valley near Perth. Dry grown, bush vines, quite hot area very reminiscent of Spain and Portugal. Our Long Way Around Tinto is based on this Swan valley Grenache blended with Syrah from Margaret River and Pinot Noir from Porongurup plus a little chenin to boot.

Quealy Tussie Mussie Pinot Noir

A single-vineyard expression from this site, Tussie Mussie is a rich earthy Pinot Noir with clear cherry fruit aroma. The palate is soft and slippery, full and generous with very fine tannin. Ready to drink now.
