From a stunning Barossa red wine vintage of low yields and exceptional quality one of the greats that produced classic Greenock Creek styled wines of robust flavour and firm structure. The Four Cuttings Shiraz is an extension of our single site approach, capturing the personality and character of single vineyard sites from four iconic Barossa sub-regions - Tanunda, Koonunga, Lyndoch & Rosedale. Our aim is to harness the contrasting characters derived from the soil profile and climate variations across these four sites to present a seamless expression of Greenock Creek wine. The nose is rich with blueberry & black cherry which flow through to the palate which is framed by soft and silken tannins. As is the Greenock Creek tradition, this wine will reward patience and cellaring, while being deliciously approachable as a young wine.

Dark fruits and licorice intermingled with forest undergrowth notes precede a long lasting, fine tannin Rosemary flavoured finish. The medium weight but firm structure and vibrancy of this wine ensure it has many possible food matches.

Strikingly vivid in colour with deep purple and magenta. There are energetic aromatics showing fresh, pure expression of fruit. Aromas of violets, dark rose, sweet plum, spice, licorice and fruitcake emanate from the glass. The palate is bursting with rich and bright dark fruit flavours. Well structured, with natural tannins providing a muscular framework the wine is full in body, flavour and mouth feel. A touch of creaminess leads to a lengthy finish completing this resplendent wine. This award-winning Grenache Shiraz Mataro blend is sourced from specific sites from within the Barossa Valley to provide complexity and vibrancy. A very smart wine with sweet, cherry driven up-front fruit with licks of savoury spice and juicy loose knit tannin.

Nitschke Block Shiraz displays rich, opulent fruit with a fantastic balance of texture. Lifted notes of greengage plums are first to emerge from what is a tightly-wound wine. There is also a warming spice element of subtle white pepper as well as some dark cherry and plum flavours.

This is great cool-climate shiraz, known foremost for their high quality Riesling, Skillogalee are capable of producing reds of distinction and class. The 2004 Shiraz from Dan's Cellar Release is one of their best. Drinking beautifully now, it will continue to evolve over the next 6 years or so.

Domaine Gérard Courbis is based in the village of Mauves, close to the boundary with Cornas. The family estate is run by brothers, Ludovic and Emmanuel. The wines are made very much in a traditional and elegant style of Northern Rhône to reflect both freshness and perfume, while retaining a lovely savory edge.Vibrant and spicy, this delicate wine offers mouthwatering blackberry and currant flavors nuanced by earthen shades of forest floor, mushroom and game. Its a complex yet juicy, punchy wine with sharp but fine-grained tannins, fresh acidity and tinges of bitter chocolate and coffee extend a long, precise finish. 100% Syrah. Chris Ringland Sealed Shiraz gives rich and intense flavours which resolve into jammy black fruits. It give a deep red-black colour with aromas of plum jam, milk chocolate and sweet vanilla ice cream infused custard cream.

The vineyard series range of wines by David Bicknell at Oakridge matches particular varieties of wines with specific sites, showcasing outstanding examples of single vineyard wines.
