Bests Great Western Bin No.1 Shiraz is a classic, cool-climate and aromatic Shiraz which flaunts a very dark red colour with garnet hues. The wine's perfumed bouquet lifts with aromas of red plums, exotic spices, black olives and black jubes, along with nutty notes. On the palate, flavours of juicy and dark red fruits fill the mouth. Powdery tannins provide a rich and ripe medium-bodied texture, leading to a long finish. The 90 year old vines has been producing a single vineyard Shiraz since 1952 and is one of Australia's truly great wines. Clonakilla Shiraz Viognier began its life after a career defining trip to the Côte-Rôtie in the mid 90s which set Tim Kirk on the journey towards producing one of Australia's best Shiraz. In only 15 years, the Shiraz Viognier has attained 'Exceptional' status with Langton's, the highest possible.

Paringa Estate Peninsula Shiraz Mornington Peninsula The Paringa wines in the Peninsula range are an haut Mornington Peninsulathe emphasis being on the liveliness of the fruit. 'The quality of these wines are often equal to many other vineyards best'- James Halliday This is a classic cool-climate Shiraz. The fruit is sourced from three sites around the Peninsula which has the spice and black pepper characters, that are characteristic of this wine. Colour is deep red. The nose shows aniseed, tar, FruChocs and spicy oak. The fine palate entry has mulberry, cranberry, aniseed and liquorice flowing delicately with Rhone-like spicy, chewy, savoury tannins.

The Penfolds Bin 150 Marananga Shiraz is a relatively new addition to the Penfolds stable, sourced from the Barossan sub-district, Marananga. Simply a revelation, this wine is an inky, black beast in the glass with lashings of dark chocolate and coffee accented fruit, yet this years offering shows a lingering, soft structured finish that will see the wine cellar very nicely.
