One of the benchmark wines to come out of the Coonawarra, the Penfolds Bin 128 is a delightful cool-climate shiraz. Matured in French Oak, with flavours of white pepper and floral spice, the 2014 Bin 128 is a rich and full-bodied Shiraz.

Elegant and aristocratic kaleidoscope of aromas, an abundance of fruit flavours, blackberry, mulberry and blueberry with supporting complexity of mint, eucalypt, rhubarb, Turkish delight and cinnamon. A blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro, The Steading takes its name from an old Scottish term used for a group of homes on a ridge. The fruit at the heart of the wine is sourced from old bush vines. The Steading is matured for 24 months in old French oak hogsheads, yielding a wine resplendent with fragrant red forest berries, five spice and leather.

The fruit is sourced from three sites around the Peninsula which has the spice and black pepper characters, that are characteristic of this wine.
