Molino a Vento Nerello Mascalese Rosato

Tenute Orestiadi, born in 2008 in the heart of the Belice Valley, in Gibellina, Sicily, where perfumes and Mediterranean colors intertwine with myth and art. After the 1968 Belice earthquake, the entire valley became the center of cultural exchange and dialogue for the Mediterranean area, transforming the arduous times into energy after a historically and economically complex moment. The fil rouge of the reconstruction is the close connection between agriculture and art, which becomes an identifying feature of the company. In 2018, Tenute Orestiadi started a collaboration with La Gelsomina, located on mount Etna, thanks to the sharing of the same values and the same love for the territory. The Molino a Vento Nerello Mascalese Rosato from Tenute Orestiadi is not one you see every day. This interesting rose is produced from Nerello Mascalese grapes. Is rich and fresh fragrance hints at red fruits. The Nerello Mascalese demonstrates elegance on the palate with good acidity and appealing pleasantness.

Maison Saint AIX Panama Hat

At the Maison Saint Aix estate, located high up in the hills just north of Aix-en-Provence, you'll discover a world dedicated to capturing the essence of the iconic terroir in a single premium rosé. This is a wine made for those who truly appreciate both the art of winemaking and the beauty of life itself. The Provence region offers the ideal growing conditions for the Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault grapes, which are the classic blend used to create AIX Rosé. With mineral-rich soils, 300 days of sun per year, and the cooling Mistral winds, these vineyards thrive in this picturesque setting. Maison Saint Aix is not only one of the largest domaines in the AOP Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence appellation, but it is also one of the highest, sitting 420m above sea level. This elevation provides cooler nights and a greater Mistral effect, which helps dry the vines on dewy mornings, resulting in even better fruit. Over the past decade, the estate has undergone a complete transformation, with state-of-the-art equipment and modern winemaking techniques. From temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to pneumatic presses and next-generation harvesting machinery, every step is taken to ensure the production of the highest quality rosé that only Provence can offer. The domaine's 50-60 year old Grenache vines guarantee the highest quality juice, while the fruit from the younger vines brings a refreshing element to the blend. To maintain the harmony of the land, a busy replanting schedule is in place, replacing up to 4 hectares of vines each year with new ones. In early September, the vineyards come alive with a whirlwind of activity from the break of dawn until noon. This dedicated effort guarantees the grapes' utmost freshness, the preservation of their delicate aromas and minimizes the risk of oxidation. It is through this meticulous process that AIX acquires its distinctive colour, delicate aromas, gentle acidity and impressive length. The symbol of the vines reaching towards the sky beautifully captures the enchantment of the land and the camaraderie of those who cherish it. It serves as a poignant reminder of the carefree days spent together under the warm sun and the abundance of shared meals, cherished moments and unforgettable memories that lie ahead. For Maison Saint Aix, this symbol is a daily affirmation of the simplicity and joy that life can offer when we choose not to complicate it. It is with immense pride that they prominently display this symbol on every bottle of their rosé, a privilege they are honoured to share. The Mesta was a powerful association of shepherds in Medieval Castile, controlling the routes for herding sheep across the country. The Mesta vineyards are situated deep in the land of the Mesta. They are still passed over by flocks on their annual migration, a reminder of ancient rights and a cultural cue for continuing co-existence with nature. Trough organic viticulture and respectful winemaking, they produce wines of great purity, reflecting the unique personality of their land and grape varieties. An approachable but serious rosé wine, displaying great purity and typicity for the noble Tempranillo grape, in a lighter, more elegant style than most Spanish rosés.
