Created in 1940 and formerly known as Coche-Bizouard, the Domaine Fabien Coche cultivates all the nobility of the great wines of Burgundy. The Domaine Fabien Coche uses traditional methods for the production of its wines: vineyard work, farming, bottling, every step is done so as to ensure production of exception. Les Chevalieres lies just above the village of Meursault where the slope follows at the same altitude as the premier cru’s just a little further south. Chevalieres adjoins Les Luchets which is positioned against the top part of this lieu-dit. Lovely fine floral lift over what is clearly a very deep and rich wine showing obvious real old vine intensity. This is a real step up in intensity and character with the cooler site adding a little more acidity and lift to the wine. A fabulous village Meursault.

Here the vines have roots deeply embedded in the ancient marine sediments that form the bedrock in this area, resulting in its signature minerality year after year. Pierrick Laroche, the proud owner of Domaine des Hâtes, continues the legacy of his family's estate located in the picturesque village of Maligny, in the north-west sector of Chablis. Established by his father in the 1970s, Pierrick's family vineyard holdings have gradually expanded over time, resulting in the current size of around 33 hectares. After obtaining a degree in oenology from Beaune, Pierrick embarked on a journey to gain valuable experience by traveling the world and undertaking various internships. Armed with knowledge and a deep passion for winemaking, he returned home to take over the family vineyards and start producing his own wines. Pierrick's cellars, ingeniously built into the side of a hill in the village, allow for much of the winemaking process to be conducted by gravity ensuring gentle handling of the grapes. The vinification takes place traditionally in stainless steel tanks, while some of the Premier and Grand Cru wines undergo a small portion of aging in used barrels, allowing for a full malolactic fermentation. One of his oldest vineyard plots, Les Châtillons, planted in the early 1970s, sits just behind the hill of the Grand Crus and showcases the meticulous use of barrel aging, which adds complexity and depth to the cuvée. In 2016, Pierrick expanded his range by starting a small négoce operation, sourcing must from friends who predominantly farm on the left side of the river. This addition includes premier crus such as Beauroy, Beauregard and Vau de Vey, as well as the grand cru of Bougros. In 2019, Pierrick inherited 8 acres of vines from his father-in-law in the southern sector of Chablis, around the village of Courgis. This inheritance includes Petit Chablis, 5.5 acres of Chablis and just over half an acre of the premier cru Les Butteaux. Pierrick Laroche's dedication to his craft is evident in every bottle of wine he produces. With a perfect blend of tradition and innovation, his wines showcase the unique terroir of Chablis, captivating enthusiasts with their finesse, complexity and distinct character. The name of Pierrick's Domaine, "hâtes" refers to an old agricultural unit of measure, similar to the English rod. It evokes the long and slender fields used for sowing, where the longer rows made plowing easier with fewer turns. The term "hâtes" was often used to describe such fields. Produced from vines around 30 year age which are not owned by the domaine but from a producer who is a friend of Pierrick. Premier cru Beauroy has a cooler more north and eastern exposition facing Fourchaume on the other side of the Serein river giving wines which are typically finer and more mineral than those from Fourchaume which mostly faces south-west often yielding riper wines. This wine is raised in stainless steel and shows notable precision and detail finishing with real persistence and a finely chiselled structure. The Maison des Hâtes Pierrick Laroche Chablis 1er Cru Beauroy 2022 is an elegant wine that exemplifies the exceptional quality of the Beauroy Premier Cru vineyard in Chablis. Adelaide-born Dave Fletcher is a self confessed Nebbiolo addict. So much so that shortly after falling in love with Nebbiolo in 2006, Dave moved to Piedmonte in 2007 to explore his passion for Nebbiolo, and has since produced an outstanding range that is both characteristic of the Piedmont region and innovative in itself. Time spent making wine and absorbing local knowledge at Ceretto have only served to deepen his love of the region and it’s great wines. Now the proud owner of, and making wine in the old train station in Barbaresco, Dave’s passion has reached its pinnacle, and the wines show it! Produced in very small quantities, we are very excited to have a small allocation this year. Fletcher C21 Langhe DOC Chardonnay 2022 is a limited production Chardonnay out of Barbaresco. Whole bunch pressed to Burgundian barriques, 30% new oak,with no batonnage or malo and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Half of the fruit is bought, the other from his own vineyard on the Bricco Capre. Classic chardonnay flavours with a distinctive structure on the palate. Bright flavours of grapefruit and lemon merge with those of fresh stone fruits and melon. The flavours are pronounced but with the depth and structure of the palate balancing this perfectly. This wine will age gracefully and develop over many years to come.

This estate grown Blanc de Blancs comes from three amazing sparkling vineyard locations - Whitlands Plateau, Strathbogie Ranges and the Yarra Valley in Victoria. The complexity drawn from méthode traditionnelle is on show in this exclusive release. The Chandon Blanc de Blanc 2016 vintage has green edges and is pale yellow in colour. It has persistent mouse and fine bubbles. The nose has aromas of quince, lemon myrtle, green pear, and seaspray. The oak barrels provide a subtle cinnamon spice blend. Enjoy flavours of quince and citrus on the palate with wonderful acidity and tension, soft texture with very fine bubbles.

Margaret River is a world renowned Chardonnay producing region and Pierro can rightfully stake a claim as to why. Incredibly complex, it is a tangle of fine-boned acid, lees complexity, pristine fruit and the most detailed use of good quality oak. Extremely enjoyable now, but will benefit from short to medium term cellaring.

The Piccadilly Valley welcomed the Croser family back into the Tapanappa Winery with a typical cool weather vintage of exemplary quality. Stone fruit, honeydew and lemon zest, with spicy cedar oak in support. Medium bodied, tangy lemony acidity, almond and spice, firm and flinty finish. Its a wine of structure and coiled up power. Good now, but ideally needs a couple of years in the winerack.

Pale, straw colour with insinuations of green. Overt, ripe varietal fruit characters on the nose - pineapple, citrus and nectarine derived are from the warm vintage conditions. Mineral characters, orange blossom and almond meal along with some lees derived creaminess are all balanced within this multi-dimensional palate.

Sourced and grown in the Adelaide Hills, this is a fine example of how good Chardonnay from this region can be. This is a blend of 3 different cultivars of the Chardonnay grape. Bunch pressed and in part wild fermented. Partial malolactic fermentation imparts further complexity. A beautifully textured and complex wine.
