The story of Riesling in Australia is as old as the wine industry itself. The famed Florita Vineyard is synonymous with the classic grape variety and was established by Leo Buring in 1962. In 1986 the Barry family acquired the 80 acre property and began to write the next chapter in the famous vineyard's history. Opens with powerful floral aromas of rose water, citrus blossom, pear and lime. A wine with an eye to the future. Tightly wound within clean, straight acidity. The alcohol levels are slightly higher than most years this leads to a softness in the body and finish of the wine. Aromas of lime zest, white jasmine and mandarin. The palate is complex with lemon juice, lime zest & a mineral finish.

Pressing Matters is a small, family-owned Tasmanian vineyard producing award-winning Rieslings and Pinot Noir. Although the Rieslings from Pressing Matters are influenced by Mosel styles, they are created to represent and enhance the exceptional qualities that Tasmanian Rieslings can produce. Pressing Matters R0 Riesling is an acid driven wine with almost no residual sugar – it is narrow on the palate and if people like dry white wine – this is a super-dry white wine! However the lack of sugar does not mean a lack of floral and citrus fruits on the nose and palate. Pale with green tinges. On the nose, preserved lime, dried rose petal and pear. A Cox’s orange crunch. Clean and clear palate; vibrant and juicy with great length. The R0 is a perfect complement to seafood and shellfish.

Tapanappa is defined by its "distinguished site" philosophy. Late harvested at the end of the March, the riesling fruit was vintaged in the fastidious fashion that has been developed over the past three decades. Tapanappa Eden Valley Riesling 2022 is a pure expression of a unique terroir. Typical of Eden Valley Riesling, the Tapanappa Riesling is very floral with some citrus blossom aromas. There is also the faint and delicate aroma of tea rose and a hint of jasmine. The floral bath-powder aromas are quintessential Riesling varietal character. The palate weight is fine and delicate and despite the late picking almost austere, with a mouth-watering acid finish and lingering fruit sweet flavour.

The fruit for this Riesling was grown on a vineyard in the Orange region, which is situated 1000m above sea level. In the glass: Pale lemon straw.On the nose: Pure lime lift with a touch of honeysuckle. On the palate: Intense and pure with a zesty core of lemon and lime, a quinine-like mouth-feel and long crisp acidity on to the almost chalky finish. Retrained yet powerful.
