The fruit for Scarlet Ladybird is sourced from hand-tended blocks in McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek. Medium-bodied, juicy fruited with a touch of natural sweetness. Mouth-filling tart 'strawberries and cream' with soft spice rounding out a lush mouthful. Flavoursome with fresh acidity and a tiny tweak of soft tannin taming the finish.

Tom previously honed his skills completing vintages in California, Bordeaux and the Hunter Valley. He now does so at the Kayena Winery in the Tamar Valley where he oversees winemaking for Tamar Ridge, Pirie and Devils Corner. Given how well reviewed this riesling was, we can safely say hes doing an excellent job producing absolutely stunning cool climate wines. More savoury on the nose than many, Annie's Lane has aromas of apple, lime, bath salts and minerals that add up to beautifully pure varietal intensity. The palate has a good level of richness and plenty of depth, yet it retains balance, vibrancy and zest. A serious regional riesling that deserves some bottle age.
