Riesling

Granite Hills Riesling

Widely recognised as one of Australia’s finest cool climate Rieslings. The stony granite soils, high altitude and cool night temperatures impress the fruit of these 45 year-old Riesling vines with a special refinement and persistence of flavour. These qualities are nurtured through hand harvesting and gentle winemaking techniques to mold a style renowned for its definitive varietal expression, fine natural acidity and the ability to age, gaining even greater complexity with time.

Koonowla Clare Valley Riesling

Sourced from our two sustainably grown vineyards in the Auburn district, each with distinctive characteristics that combine to create a superb Clare Valley style, crisp, vibrant yet full of amazing flavour. Our riesling is not just about immediate refreshment and palate excitement. It also reveals an inspired sophistication in its minerally textures and lip-smacking palate feels. This only comes from the gentlest of winemaking techniques, starting with handpicked fruit, followed by minimal intervention in the winery and a focus on crafting the most regionally expressive wine possible. You want purity in your wine? Taste our riesling and you’ll discover it sip after sip after sip. "This 2022 Riesling is fleshy and soft with a skein of tart/refreshing green apple acidity that runs its course through the palate. Juicy and plump, there is a viscosity here that makes for very pleasurable drinking" - 90 Points, Erin Larkin for Robert Parker.

RIESLINGFREAK NO. 14 WATERVALE RIESLING

Rieslingfreak is indeed ‘a freak’, and not simply because of its rarity as an Australian winemaker focused on a single variety. A collection of wines, each given its own number to represent a different style, region or vineyard. The home of the No.14 is a single vineyard at Watervale in the Clare Valley, a region renowned for producing Riesling of richness and elegance. This wine may be enjoyed in its youth, but will also reward long-term cellaring.

Taylors St Andrews Clare Riesling

This year it's Riesling's turn to shine and no one is doing a better, zestier wine than Taylors. St Andrews Riesling is a true labour of love that is hand-crafted from individually selected parcels of fruit that are grown on the family estate vineyards. This particular Clare Riesling vintage is still tight and restrained with a linear focus to the palate and purity of fruit flavours. There are lashings of fresh lemon/lime juice characters up front and a slate-like minerality across the mid-palate. It is backed up by a persistent and refreshing lime acid finish.
