Craggy Range Te Kahu Blend

One could be forgiven for thinking you'd just opened a good Bordeaux, given the varieties used, the structure and style, and the fine French oak employed. Assured and elegant, there's a new world plushness, mineral core and herbal freshness that gives the game away. Yes, it's Hawke's Bay from a very good producer - the fastidious Craggy Range. 73% Merlot, 13% Malbec, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2% Cabernet Franc. Tasted in August, 2022, after a few restful years in our cellar, the wine is impressive and ready to drink now, although you should be in no hurry. A graceful flow of plum and and mulberry flavours, touched by cedar and sandalwood, and smoothed by soft, ripe tannins, provides for stylish drinking. 2013 was, clearly, a very good year for this label.

Greenock Creek Creek Four Cuttings Cab Sauv

From a stunning Barossa red wine vintage of low yields and exceptional quality one of the greats that produced classic Greenock Creek styled wines of robust flavour and firm structure. The Four Cuttings Cabernet is an extension of our winemaking approach, aiming to capture the particular character of special single vineyard sites. A painstaking exploration of small vineyards across Barossa for sites that best display varietal characters akin to those of our legendary estate wines uncovered The Heidenreich vineyard at Light Pass, planted in the late 1930s. The vineyard produces consistently excellent Cabernet Sauvignon with layers of black fruit, leafy overtones and tobacco notes. As is the Greenock Creek tradition, this wine will reward patience and cellaring, while being deliciously approachable as a young wine.

This wine is beautifully balanced, with excellent structure and length typifying the St Hugo Heritage of power and elegance.

Made from the sun-dried varieties of Xynisteri and Mavro, the St Nicholas is a warm favourite with those who remember the style and those new to the lucious, sweet flavours that are a perfect match for rich desserts.

Murray Street Vineyards Red Label Shiraz

With access to some of the oldest vineyards in the Valley, Murray Street are able to produce wines like this Red Label Shiraz that are bursting with varietal aromas and flavours. Dark, purple and blueberry fruit with a fine and integrated tannin structure. A beautifully balanced wine.

MG Orange Blossom Gin

On the palate, it is fruity and smooth. Pronounced flavour of sweet oranges, well balanced with the acidity of the citrus fruits and the bitter touch of juniper. The cardamon and coriander notes offers a nice and balanced touch of spice to the citric flavours.
