CABERNET SAUVIGNON has been produced in our vineyards with a reduced yield. It is distinguished with an intense ruby-red colour, soothing fruity aromas with an after-point of vanilla and gillyflower infused by oak during its ripening. The taste is firm with an expressed structure, followed by a soft and harmonious aftertaste.

On the palate, dark, rich berries with olive and mild pepper can be noted, accompanied with a balanced structure and supple tannins. Full-bodied with an aromatic display of clove, nutmeg, and smoky oak. Aromas of sweet redcurrants lovely rich palate, which has drying wood tannins and some lovely soft acid.

Matured in new French oak for 36 months. Totally opaque black core with a deep dark to brick red black tinged hue. Potent ripe blackcurrant scents mix with liquorice, earth, vanillin cedar, dried herb and subtle leather notes. Rich blackcurrant fruits flood the full bodied palate with some liquorice, earthy vanillin cedar, leather and spicy dried herbs lingering on the back half. Finishes dry and firm with a robust tannin structure and long slightly chewy aftertaste. Drink over the next 2-3 years. Alc. 13.8%

It would be fair to say that this wine ticksd about as many boxes as it's possible to tick. One of the oldest and most respected wineries in the region, made by one of Australia's most revered winemakers, an iconic wine, widely regarded as one of the best shiraz in Australia and also an excellent vintage, described as one of the "finest" in it's line - this wine will also last for decades with careful cellaring. Concentrated dark berry and cherry falvours pepper with dark spice - a medium bodied silky Shiraz that is simply beautiful.

This legendary Coonawarra Shiraz has evolved into a true masterpiece of smoothness. The vibrant "crunchy" berries and floral rose notes have mellowed into a deep, velvety richness, while the black pepper and French oak now provide a soft, warming hug of flavor. Once brooding and intense, it is now perfectly polished and approachable, offering a rare, luxurious experience that is incredibly easy to sip. This is a special-occasion wine caught at its absolute peak of elegance.

Vasse Felix, Margaret River's founding wine estate, was established by Dr Thomas Brendan Cullity in 1967. Among his first plantings were Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec vines, from which he produced the estate's first red wine. The Tom Cullity descends from these original vines and represents the pinnacle of Vasse Felix. The inaugural release will be in May 2017, coinciding with Vasse Felix's 50th Anniversary.

The Bin 389 style evolved as a result of experiments, by Max Schubert, in the 1950s to develop a highly individual wine using a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz with compatible oak treatment. Bin 389 combines the elegance of Cabernet Sauvignon with the richness of Shiraz and demonstrates the traditional Penfolds' trademark - balance between fruit and oak, giving the wine character and longevity.

The 2010 Chateau d'Issan is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, showing 'classic Margaux' in its perfume, finesse and apparent elegance. Soils are gravel and clay, which contributes to the high-tones of perfume from the wine, and though an estate that is neccesarily clawing its way back to a higher profile, is doing so with deeds in bottle over showmanship. On its side, the vineyard is dense with older vines that naturally offer lower yields, allowing for a higher quality of fruit for the winemaking team, in turn producing a wine of stellar quality from 2010.

Named after Coonawarra pioneer, pastoralist and parliamentarian, John Riddoch, this Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the very best of Wynns vast planting in Coonawarra and it only made in the years that best express Wynns strive for excellence. Arguably richer and more complex from comparable styles in the region, John Riddoch Cabernet is highly sought after and extremely limited.
