Knappstein Riesling

Fresh lemon and lime fruit flavours delight in this gorgeous Clare Valley wine. Knappstein continue their philosophy to produce the best of Clare Valley handcrafted wines. Clare Valley where a gorgeous white blossom fragrance is typical for many rieslings, this has all your classic lime and citrus notes with trademark varietal acidity but no severity. Crisp and pure now, Knappstein reflects this to perfection.

Wicks Estate Riesling

Riesling has a strong affinity for the cooler climes of the World, and it is therefore no surprise that it would produce wines of great character in the Adelaide Hills. Whilst we made the hard decision to graft some of our Riesling vines over to Pinot Noir some years back, we have retained only the most promising clones to produce our Riesling as its perhaps the top white pick amongst staff and remains a labour of love. The Riesling crop, whilst minuscule, showed hallmark varietal characters and fine acidity nurtured by the cool nights and warm sunny days. Careful sampling in the vineyard, paying particular attention to flavour development and acid levels, meant the fruit was harvested on the 14th of March when the ideal balance was reached. Lifted floral aromas and the lively citrus fruit intensity are finely balanced by the tight structure and crisp natural acidity.

Geoff Weaver Riesling

Geoff Weaver has journeyed from the big end of town to a tiny, intimate pocket of the Adelaide Hills. From his role as chief winemaker for the Hardy group of companies, in 1992 he made the break from corporate winemaking to pursue his own dream on the Lenswood vineyard that he and wife Judith had started planting a decade earlier. Those vines, some of the oldest in the Hills, are really reaping the rewards of maturity. Tightly structured yet aromatically lifted wine but with a supple mid-palate and a fine, crisp finish. The nose is fresh and lively with a lifted aroma of lime blossom. The palate is fruity with a juicy zest and a fine mineral edge.

Knappstein Clare Valley Pinot Gris

A perfect mix of orange zest, ginger spice and ripe pear combine with notes of vanilla and baked pastry. The palate is richly flavoured and delightfully textured, carrying the opulent spice-poached pear, quince and lemon honey flavours through to a clean crisp finish.

Kaesler Stonehorse Riesling

The fruit for this excellent Clare Riesling is sourced from Kaesler's estate vineyards which have an average vine age of 58 years. Brilliant water like core with a greenish tinged outskirts. Jumping out of the glass with intensity are lime, lemon and orange rind scents followed by talc and mineral notes. Mouth watering flavours of lime, citrus and orange rind are delivered with terrific concentration and textural volume across the palate. Chalky talc and flinty mineral elements linger underneath. Finishes dry and crisp with crunchy acidity and a long snappy aftertaste. Drink over the next 5-6 years. Alc. 13%

Jim Barry Expressions by Tom Barry Riesling

Tom Barry is a third-generation master winemaker, and this Gold winning Clare Valley riesling is only further proof of his expertise. Serve as a refreshing aperitif before seafood. Aromas of white nectarine flesh, fresh lime and fragrant orange blossom combine with crushed wet limestone. The palate is well weighted on entry, with full drive and purpose throughout. White peach flavours with chalky minerality and a smack of citrus to finish. Awards: • Gold Medal
