Brocard wines represent the higher end of expression at each quality level. The Chablis Grand Cru Valmur forms a valley which offers subtle variations in terms of exposure: one part faces northwest and the other the south. With a well-balanced mineral character, the Valmur is imposing through its strength and surprising fruitiness. The wine comprises of 100% Grand Cru chardonnay, aged in old French oak for 14 months. A multitude of flavours can be discovered, including lemon, pepper, brioche, licorice and toast with mineral strength underpinning all.

Penfolds Reserve Bin A stands as a benchmark for single-region Australian chardonnay. Sourced exclusively from cool-climate vineyards in the Adelaide Hills, this cuvée showcases the natural tension and power achieved in South Australia’s elevated sites. The winemaking team applies rigorous traditional methods. Hand-picked grapes are whole-bunch pressed directly into French oak barriques for wild fermentation on solids. Full malolactic fermentation and regular lees stirring build texture, depth and structure while preserving regional purity. The nose delivers aromas of white peach, grapefruit, toasted cashew and a signature struck-match complexity. On the palate, a rich, creamy texture balances against a driven line of natural citrus acidity, finishing with persistence and poise.

Crafted by chief winemaker Ed Carr, House of Arras Grand Vintage 2nd Disgorgement 2009 showcases the exceptional longevity of Tasmanian sparkling wine. Sourced from cool climate Tasmanian vineyards, this blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir underwent primary fermentation with partial French oak maturation. This second disgorgement spent over a decade ageing on lees prior to disgorgement. Extended tirage builds complex layers of toasted brioche, roasted nuts and citrus curd around a core of driving natural acidity.
