Don Julio Añejo spends more than the minimum requirement of 1 year on oak, and is normally aged between 18 months and two years before it reaches its optimum age and taste profile. As with the rest of the Don Julio range the nose is fruity and floral, but with notes of vanilla and fresh agave, whilst the palate is slightly richer and more full bodied, yet still sweet and rich with citrus characteristics.

Made of organic sticky sorghum (similar to wheat), it takes five years to produce one bottle of Moutai. It is distilled 9 times and then aged 3 years in ceramic pots. The production cycle mirrors the Chinese lunar calendar. It is a complex beverage with a truly unique taste and history. Proudly, a wine style that hasn’t succumbed to the dictates of fashion or commerce. St Henri is rich and plush when young, gaining soft, earthy, mocha-like characters as it ages.
