The word Piedra means Stone in Spanish, because this very unique spirit was created entirely from an ancient process whereby a large tahona stone, wheeled slowly, crushes the agave. A special 36-month aged luxury Extra Añejo Tequila that preserves Don Julio Gonzalezs Ultimate Legacy - the final agave harvest. In 2006, Don Julio, with his family, planted their final agave field. In honor of his devotion and craftsmanship, this agave harvest was carefully distilled, barreled, and set aside for a special use.To preserve this tequila and the exquisite agave piñas behind it, we have implemented a Solera aging system. The Solera aging method combines and matures tequilas of different characteristics finished in unique casks, allowing Don Julios final agave harvest to remain at the heart of this rare Extra Añejo Tequila.

The French component of this wine was made at two of the Dourthe-owned wineries. Australian components of this wine were made at Penfolds Nuriootpa Winery in South Australia. Both components were blended and bottled in South Australia for a truly one-of-a-kind release.
