Finished with a hint of sweet malt with aromas of wooden barrels and a touch of fruity flavor. This is richer in taste than the 10-year-old whisky. Full of dark forest fruits, bright citrus peel and Tasmanian brandy blanketed in toasted oak, this indulgent little dram is as a slice of fruitcake and a cuppa. A sticky, plummy, homemade fruit cake in a glass, Orange peel-infused caramel pudding topped with spices. Dried fruits play off the rich, earthy oak.

Johnnie Walker Blue Label is the pinnacle of the Johnnie Walker Whisky stable. Created to reflect the the style of whiskies of the early 19th century, it is created using the rarest casks in House of Walker, the largest in the world. The casks are hand selected and set aside for their exceptional quality, character and flavour while retaining the signature smokiness of Johnnie Walker whiskies.

A vatting of whisky from both the now closed Hanyu and Chichibu distilleries. Ichiro Akuto, the founder of Chichibu Distillery (est. 2004), is also the grandson of the founder of Hanyu distillery (shut down in 2000 and dismantled in 2004). Ichiro rescued around 400 casks before the closure. This "Double Distilleries" release is a vatting of two whiskies: Sherry matured Hanyu and Chichibu matured in a Japanese oak cask. A rare treat.
