The Shiraz grapes for The Struie come from old vines in the Barossa and Eden Valleys. The Eden component brings floral spicy aromas that are supported by more brooding notes of tar and chocolate from the Barossa. The palate is luscious and silky, and this is a Fine Wine favourite.

Clarendon Hills is a small family owned winery which produce wine to the highest standard. The shiraz range is a varied as it is outstanding, from the Bakers Gully all the way to the iconic Australis. The 2003 Seven Acre Shiraz displays typical flavours of plum, blackberry with slight hints of pepper and dark chocolate. The lacy tannin structure balances the wine tremendously and really reminds you why Greenock Creek are producing some of the world's best wines.

Full bodied yet velvety texture with plums and raspberries dominating. Hints of sweet spice, black olive pepper add to the complexity.

Bannockburn Shiraz is a multi-layered wine showing blackberry, black cherry and spice on the nose which follow through to the palate. Soft tannins and medium length.

Colour is deep red. The nose shows aniseed, tar, FruChocs and spicy oak. The fine palate entry has mulberry, cranberry, aniseed and liquorice flowing delicately with Rhone-like spicy, chewy, savoury tannins.

The trailblazers of the Adelaide Hills have created another outstanding wine. A superb expression of modern cool-climate Shiraz; Shaw & Smith is elegantly spicy and brimming with supple red-fruit flavours matched by fine tannins. An absolute ripper.

Bremerton Old Adam is a stunning example of Langhorne Creek Shiraz with dense and integrated fruit that exudes ripe plum and blackcurrant. Rebecca Willson is able to seperate each parcel of fruit that comes in off of the old vineyards and keeps them that way throughout fermentation and maturation in oak. This enables perfect barrel selection to create a wine of true distinction.

Stonier are the pioneers of the premium region that is the Mornington Peninsula. This outstanding Pinot Noir displays pure elegance and complexity. Dark cherry fruit flavours are balanced by gamey undertones and a savoury finish.
