Andrew Marks seeks to express the character of each of his unique vineyard sites. All of the wines are single vineyard expressions. This is a single vineyard Pinot from Yellingbo, at the Southern end of the Yarra Valley. Cane pruned MV6 clone on volcanic red soil with Nth Eastern aspect at 200m elevation. Large format oak. 30% new Damy Alliers French oak for 11 months on lees.

This wine is made from grapes grown in vineyards in different sub-regions of Central Otago. It captures the character of each vineyard giving us bright, fresh sweet fruit with savory and herbal tones and good texture and mineral length.

2019 was the inaugural vintage for Byrne Farm in cool climate Orange. Jeff Byrne is the former head winemaker at Audrey Wilkinson in the Hunter. A superb first release.Attractive garnet colour. Forest floor, pot pourri, game and mushroom. Clean, delicate and very elegant, bursting with bright red fruit, velvety texture, soft oak, juicy acidity and a dry finish. Gently handled with lovely fruit expression.

This exciting and refined wine is the first Reserve vintage from our high altitude vineyards and should be reserved for your next special occasion or celebration. Tasting Notes Mid-deep red. Blackcurrant aromas with good intensity. Initial liquorice undertones. A little leafiness lifts the nose. Mid to full body. Strong Cabernet flavours – dark and red berries. Finishes with firm tannins and good length.

Terrific intensity of white fruit, florals, strawberry, brioche & nuttiness. Fine mousse is lively on the palate . Delicately balanced dosage. Long fine palate .

Copper, salmon colouring. Obvious red fruit lift on the nose . Wonderful depth of fruit from chardonnay & brioche/nutty lees character. Retains freshness, vibrancy and intensity. Lovely palate texture on the palate . Long fine dry finish with delicately balanced dosage.
